Another mic falls silent and cold to the stage
Another talented MC taken down at an early age
Late night shots fired, he never stood a chance
Merely an unfortunate victim of circumstance
You may dislike the art, but at least have a heart
There was no reason for him to prematurely depart
Nobody believed it when they heard he was dead
Thinking this was simply a cruel joke instead
I miss him already and I never even met him
I doubt it's possible for anyone to forget him
A truly skilled rapper and an even better person
Putting on his tracks makes my mood worsen
Another undeniable presence that suddenly dissolved
Another senseless murder that'll never be solved
Reliable sources covered the story, I must trust this
He's gone now and we're in search of some justice
This is another tragic day for the hip-hop community
I sit praying every night for some form of unity
How could someone commit an act so rotten?
Even though he's gone he'll never be forgotten
I'm mourning the fact his voice had to cease
But I know he's going to be resting in peace
