Teaching moral lessons through "fantastical stories" is a bad way to learn them? Sure, some people take religion the wrong way and do nasty things in the name of it, but there are others that do just fine with it.
I should look into a book to tell me how to think? Sure. I'll look into it. Doesn't sound too different from reading the Bible or the Quran, though.
You're putting words into my mouth. Don't do that. I never said look into a book to tell you how to think. I mentioned that you read that book because you have absolutely zero understanding of atheism judging by what you posted. Furthermore, I never stated that the fantastical stories/anecdotes of religion are a "bad" way to learn morals either. I said it was harmful for finding a moral path because of the delusions and lies they preach, and because many people take these things literally, despite that not being the point.
The difference is that musicians like Pac, yes, they read off a sheet, but THEY wrote the sheet.
I'd say...
Atheists = hate music.
Agnostics = listen to whatever is on the radio and don't give a shit either way.
Spiritual or inquisitive people = write their own music.
People who have blind faith in either Religion OR Science = sing karaoke; often badly.
Well this is clearly completely inaccurate. I'm a proud atheist and music means a million times more to me than any religion ever could. I know platinum selling artists and producers that are among the most respected in their field who are also atheists. Spirituality does not mean jackshit when it comes to music.
There's hundreds of amazing musicians and artists who everyone on this board would be aware of, in all genres, that are atheists....don't make me post a list
