Regardless of what you believe, I hope Allah SWT guides us all to the path whom He has favored.

Just respect that Mutah is chosing to do what he knows and believes is right. Respect that instead of being so negative about the situation. Let's not turn this into a debate. If people feel that Mutah should leave his religion for music, that seems absurd and ridiculous. I don tknow about the fact that we can only entertain ourselves by doing the things the brother said were mentioned in the Hadith, but I know that Mutah has left music for something better...DONT HATE YA'LL!!! My advise to be to see why he did so for all the brothers and sisters who are or are not muslims.
no doubt man true talk

Well according to the Prophet yes all the ohter forms of entertainment are forbidden, i know its hard to take, of cource i still do a lot of other things to entertain myself like sports and all but it is forbidden.
Not True at all. The Prophet pbuh used to wrestle, just like UnitedSlaves mentioned. Boxing is haram because your intention is to hurt your opponent, as in wrestling and many other sports thats not the case, whatever we do that harms each other is considered Haram bro, and thats a strong word to use, so consider what you're saying, alright man. And where does it say we cant enjoy life man, Allah's signs are everywhere, all praise be to Him.

There's a hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said that "The best path is the middle path". I'll leave you with that. God guide us all.

Im sorry to hear that you almost fainted because you are missing out, he is a top scholar from South Africa, maybe its his accent. cant blame you, im used to those voices after staying there for a year but inshallah you should listen to the other talks on my website, Moulana Khatani has some world class talks which i have never heard by anyone else.If you want to get closer to Allah and really start taking your Iman, faith seriously this guys talks will really push you that way. I dont think there are many English speakers like him in the world, he is well learned too, he knows a lot.
Thats good bro, thanks for lettin me know, I know some good speakers myself.

Im sure you have heard the Hadith something to this
extent, im in teh office so i dont have time to find
the actual hadith but to this extent: "All forms of
entertainment are forbidden in this world but three
things:
cmon geeza are u having a joke?
all forms of entertainment?...i think u have to decipher between what is fard, wajib, sunnah, mubah, makrooh and haraam...most forms of entertainment fall under the mubah where u wont get punsihed for it nor will u get reward.....so like watching tv, goin to the cinema, listening to music, playing sports, and a whole load of other things can be done....maaaan...were u deprived of these things as a kid? and cant bare to see other people livin this way....of course it wud be better if u cud utilize ur time in a better way...a more effective way.....more rewarding way...but be real too

Not to sound like an ass, but I love eating food..I dont have a "LOVE" or a "OBSESSION" with food, but is going out to eat haraam then? I am not being sarcastic here. I am entertained and enjoy serving my parents, is that forbidden as well. If I start riding a horse in the middle of San Jose California, i think they would arrest me. LEAVE THIS TOPIC ALONE! Nobody is going to make anything out of this argument. Ma'Salaama .
