after spending over 3gs (not including albums,dvds, soundtracks, compilations, etc) on pac shit i noticed that im paying more attention to how much shit i got instead of the art and value of the material...my advise to all the new collectors is to take it easy and take your time collecting.. its no fun when u get a bunch of shit at one time and then have nothing to look forward to (retail)... anyway take your time collecting and treasure the shit that u got... its not about how many mb of pac stuff u have its about the art of pacs music...

I think I've spent about 1500-2000 on pac shit.. including dvds, lps, singles, paintings, mak brand clothing, unheards(that got leaked eventually), random memoribilia etc.. Havent bought anything anything new lately though really..

How much do some of Pac's pre-DR era singles/soundtracks go for about? I was lucky enough to buy most of em when they were new or a year or two old.. like Above The Rim(tape), Juice, Dear Mama single, Poe Justice and a few others..

The only thing I dont collect is vinyl, but I probaly will in the future, just to have the shit..

But yea, i have fun collecting the stuff.. My only real hobby!

sometimes you HAVE to buy quick - since some things you think are common now turn very rare the next week. that grand imperial record was 10 bucks, and now sells for almost 100. sprite vinyl was 35 and now 200. ...cheaper in the long run to buy things as they come out, and then take advantage when opportunities are presented.

I always think my collection is small but when i look at it I guess i've spent like 3000 or even more (including dvd's, book's, single's etc.). I'm happy with what i have now and thats good the way it is now. I layed down collecting for a while now cause the scene really made me no more really intrested in it (mostly because the fakes and shady buisness that's going on behind the scene).

The amount of Pac material out there really made me slow down on collecting cos they is so much of it, and I accepted the fact that I'm never gonna get everything so now I just pick up something new every now and then and don't worry too much about how much I've got.

my collecting came to a halt when i had to go to the army. then i got off the hook, but i've been in stoner mode the past two months, unemployed and what not. i just recently got a job a couple of weeks ago so i'm gonna pick up on it very soon. it's just too bad smoking weed is such an expensive hobby.

My advise to all people who collect pac...

I was collecting a lot for the first 2 years. But I've chilled out a lot now. I have a decent retail collection. There's still a lot of promo pieces I'm missing... Some rare, some not.

Basically I'm not going to pay over the odds. Some of the pieces I bought cheap are now worth 10 times as much. I only started collecting in 2003/2004 though.
