i kind of think they're silly. why?

well consider why you collect. i collect because it's something that i individually enjoy. i don't do it for any kind of gratification from anyone else, so likewise i think it's kind of silly to post pictures to show off. it's like when people brought things in for show and tell that were obviously expensive, not because they meant anything, but just to trump the trailer kids.

i could rattle off this and that, and post 100 clips of songs you guys will never hear, but really at the end of the day that makes me more of a sucker than a cool guy. ...that is unless i'm willing to share what information i have about items x, y, and z and how to get them, what price, etc.

...really, at the end of the day anyone can plunk down $100 and get something uncommon. knowledge is more valuable than the physical.

To me, that shit is just stupid. What do you think the stuff is going to be worth one day?

Shit like this is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. There isnt a priceguide for Tupac items.

I bet half of you havent even listened to the material you own. HAHA U think its worth more to keep it in a pretty package than the message itself that is spoken by Pac.

And let me ask one more thing, your "Pac collection"; do you think it is worth "more" because he is dead? Outise of sentimental value, it isnt worth shit, even if he was dead.

in 1995 i bought about 20 keep ya head up cd singles for $4.99 each. in 2005 i sold them for about $80 each. need i say more?

the first promo cd, which is if my homie calls radio mix, would fetch me over $400 on ebay if i sold it tomorrow.

besides, who are you to criticize someone who rips the cd and then re-seals it (which i do)? are you so short sighted that you need to validate your purchase by staring at the pretty little pictures? come on man, if you don't know about something don't throw salt.

I have to agree and I've said something similar to it before. None of the collectors understood probably because they're sitting there gettin money on trades and loving themselves. IMO, you're only exploiting a Dead Man's music and art only to fulfill an obsession(for some). sometimes you HAVE to buy quick - since some things you think are common now turn very rare the next week. that grand imperial record was 10 bucks, and now sells for almost 100. sprite vinyl was 35 and now 200.

I think that's because SOME collectors are so full of shit, they have to factor in the rising cost for gas

in fact there is. anyone who actually buys stuff would quickly see that the prices for items such as singles and promos is defined by the buyer base. just because you cannot afford $300 for a if my homie calls promo cd doesn't make it worth less than that. because people (like myself for example) are willing to pay top dollar for top shelf items, they stay valuable. price trending predicts what you will pay for an item. make a post, ask someone else (i get 10 questions daily inquiring the value of items x, y, and z), or otherwise go get the information as to how much something is worth. no one is going to hold your hand and make some ridiculous "guide" for a blind man.

again you are incorrect. the value of an unleaked song obviously drops after it is posted for free on the internet (a resounding DUH is heard globally at this comment), but if only a half dozen people have it worldwide, then the value remains high. the only shit that leaks is shit that was either a) sold to multiple parties in a mass effort to gain as much money as possible, or b) MEANT to leak out by intentional efforts. likewise, you are a moron if you made this post while you have any single non-retail og on your computer, because that qualifies you instantly as a rebel-rouser who is a hyprcrite.

i'd suggest not concerning yourself with what people purchase with their own money. additionally, tracks are seldom "stolen" as you indicate. in fact, a good portion of what i have came directly from the people who made them. what have you got to say about that?

very few songs i have received i have gotten for free. almost everything comes at a cost, and that cost helps ensure that i will not immediately go post something that is not meant to be everywhere on the internet.

i am not the 2pac og k-mart. you can't just pm me and say what's $30 buy me (what you did lol - fyi, i wipe my ass with twenty dollar bills) because it doesn't work like that.

if i were to sell my dyin day, which you offered me money for, then i would not have a problem doing so because the song was purchased by a close friend of mine who happened to see it on a record. i ripped the record. it's not like that song was "stolen" from amaru by me or anyone else to my knowledge.

what i think really happened here is that you offered me chump change, and when i told you that you were missing a couple zeros you got pissy and took on this holier than thou routine. well i'll say it again, you can't speak unless you have never downloaded, burned, or listened to an og version that's not one of the handful that have been released.
