Las Orishas -- Cuban Rap

I started listening to "Las Orishas" when I was in 10th grade, but just recently got turned back on to them. All of their tracks have unique cuban salsa-like instrumentals complete with smooth basslines and a unique mix of drums and other dance type instrumentals.

If you tend to stay away from "clubby-type" dance music, or foreign language hip-hop, don't let that keep you away from listening to them. They have 3 CD's out now, including their latest "El Kilo". Here is some of my favorite tracks.

Don't stop the music is for other genre's of muysic other than rap and hiphop for example, rock, punk, grunge, alternative, r&b, dancehall, euro, trance etc.

We listen to these guys in Spanish class. As a matter of fact, we've actually got them on a weekend mix that me and my buddy bump when we hang out.

Yea, I've got their album Street Signs. They were in concert here at Wash U last fall with Nappy Roots, Ruka Puff (St. Louis act), and Murphy Lee. They had the best performance IMO.
