I started listening to "Las Orishas" when I was in 10th grade, but just recently got turned back on to them. All of their tracks have unique cuban salsa-like instrumentals complete with smooth basslines and a unique mix of drums and other dance type instrumentals.
If you tend to stay away from "clubby-type" dance music, or foreign language hip-hop, don't let that keep you away from listening to them. They have 3 CD's out now, including their latest "El Kilo". Here is some of my favorite tracks.
Off Album "A Lo Cubano"
-Atrevido (also on Bad Boys II soundtrack)
-A Lo Cubano
-Represent
-Madre
-Mistica
-Atencion
-Connexion
Off Album "Emigrante"
-Emigrantes
-Barrio
-537 CUBA
-Desaparecidos
If you get a chance, listen to a few of these tracks to get a feel for them. Here is my favorite track from them, "Madre" - http://rapidshare.de/files/7650113/Orishas_-_Madre.mp3.html - One of their smoother tracks with a deep meaning.
