Film & TV Just saw X Men 3

My theater just did a screening today.....well, yesterday, 2day and 2morrow.....but i worked yesterday so i couldn't go 2 the one yesterday, anyway, i went 2 the one today.

It was freaking awesome i gotta say. A lil bias yes, cuz i'ma hardcore comic fan but even so, i think the plot was great. Oh and also, there were some very unexpected events that was a lil weird since it kinda rewrites comic history, but it made for a great movie. Without giving away 2 much, it has 2 do with the funeral scene that you see in the trailors......but uhm, it's not just one person that dies in the movie :-O

Also, Jean Grey as the Phoenix was fantastic.....she looked evil.....in a badass kinda way (if that makes sense lol) but yea....great great stuff..

who plans on seeing it?

I'll go to an X-Men movie when two things happen:

1. They re-cast Rogue, I can't accept Anna Paquin as Rogue, growing up with the comics, I always thought of Rogue as more of a strong presence, and Anna Paquin just doesn't come across as believable, IMO.

2. They do an Apocalypse storyline. If they did a whole "Age of Apocalypse" movie, starting with Xavier getting shot by Legion, I'd be first in line for that shit.

No. I haven't seen the movie yet but know there isn't gonna be a sequel. Hence why it's called 'The Last Stand.

I can't wait to see this.

that's tricky...uhm, it's really doubtful that there'll be another movie after this, mostly cuz of the deaths that take place, but yes, it does give a nice little teaser at the very end of the movie. And i'm sure they did that just for the effect of "oooOOo....there's gonna be another one" kinda thing.

I wan't to see this VERY bad, I am a huge Comic fan, especially X-Men and Batman, and according to Chris Gore of Filmthreat.com he saw the film almost 2 weeks ago at a press screening and said the clip at the end of the credits may leave the door open for an X4, but didn't say excatly what it was. And yes they are working on a "Wolverine" film, that is a prequel to X-Men 1.

has anyone noticed the 3 biggest movies of the summer were all released in may, which is not even a summer month. d-code, MI3, and x3. d-code did good numbers, mi3 did really bad considering how much it took in like 20 million the first week.
what other big blockbuster movies are left for the summer? is there any?

summer sure did come early this year for hollywood.

Well after X3 here's what I'm looking forward to seeing this summer

Superman Returns (June 30)
Pirates Of The Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest (July 7)
Miami Vice (July 21)
Clerks II (July 28)
Snakes On A Plane (August 18)

I'm sure atleast Superman and Pirates 2 are gonna be big blockbusters.
