Exactly.

Fact is, Abramovich - & therefore Chelsea - is one of the only people in the world putting money in the game without expecting a financial return.

Nike, Adidas & all them have got a financial agenda.

Abramovich wants to promote football at The Bridge.

I mean, look at that sorry excuse for a player, Glen Johnson. £6M??? West Ham wouldn't have got anywhere near that from anyone else.

^ yeah that was the worst one of their buys but he is lookin for a financial return like anyone in business his plans is to have chelsea operating efficently and making profit thats why they have signed that deal with i think addidas.

hes just not gonna see a financial return for a while. and for all the other teams it will be good cos kenyan said that there will be no more big buys as there gonna be run like a buisness and that means they will have to watch their spending. But they will never be as big a brand as man u

Are you saying Abramovich is looking for a financial return?

If so, you're wrong.

He's simply living a dream....actually shareholders in football clubs would have to be dumb to expect a return in the absence of two things.

1. You own shares in Man U.
2. The 'return' comes when you sell the shares for a higher price.

No they won't.

Abramovich will make no profit from Chelsea.

If he was using this as a business venture per se, & looking to fatten his wallet, would he have spent so much money in such a short span of time??

Abramovich is businessman, there is no way in hell, he would throw so much money at a venture which in no conceivable way can make him that money back.

Unless, he's more interested in the sport....

He didn't buy Chelsea to make profit out of them. He is simply using them as moneylaundry. He has "some dirty" money...

There was an article written about that, don't have the link as it was last year or so.

I know he is living out a dream.

He won't make any profit out of Chelsea.

As for teh money laundering, well, anyone that rises to that type of wealth in such a short space of time will have come in contact with a criminal element, most likely the Russian Mafia. Whether he actually does business with them is another matter...
