Yea it will also be a bad marketing on how you can buy trophies. I'm more of the type of having my team produce OWN talents and watch them grow to win something. Cuz then I know these players actually care about the team they're playing and not for the major $$ they get.

Of course but other teams have invested in their team. Covered up areas needed. For instance, Milan needed a replacement/starter so they invested on Kaka. This year they needed a defender and so they got Stam and then Crespo on loan. Their "back of bone" is still Pirlo,Maldini,Nesta,Dida,Shevchenko. And these players have played for quite some times now.

Compare that (or any other team for that matter bar Real Madrid) to Chelsea who went from a upper middle-league team to a World top-notch!

Yea they are the best players, but Makelele, Robben, Duff, Cech, Drogba, Carhvaleo, Joe Cole are quality players.

Every team spends money, but not the extent of Chelsea.
