hey jason could u post the lyrics of that song?
The lyrics for ALL of my material is at my website:

http://www.geocities.com/aspiringradiopersonality/

Visit that and click on "My Raps" and look for "Beefs".

Check out my other lyrics while you're there. Although, I've only listed actually about half the songs I have written in the past year or so because a lot of the stuff I've done is not finished. Some are missing a verse, some have half written hooks and shit. The ones I have posted on my site are the ones that are pretty much done, just need to be recorded.

It was alright. Not amazing, but I doubt you're working with best of equipment, & it was far from horrible.

Like carmi said, post up the lyrics
Well, I'll take "alright" since, like Dave said, that's the first song I've ever recorded.

And actually dude, I'm working with $3 million worth of equipment. Including pro-tools.

If you visit my website (address is included in my sigs) and go to the pictures page I have about 2 pages full of pictures of me and people in the studio. I'm working on top notch equipment.

I didn't chew u out, i just asked if that was the lyrics :thumb:
Oh..was it you that did that?

I thought you had put some hate in your PM, but if not, it's cool.

I didn't take what you said offensively. I'm actually glad you said that because I don't want ANYONE to even think I'm saying "nigga" in any of my lyrics.

Wow!

Since you're my biggest hater on this board, I guess I should say thanks.

I expected everyone to be responding with stupid shit like calling me an "Eminem wannabe" or something.

I expected to get hated on like a mofo when Dave asked me if he could post the song, I'm happy to see I was wrong.

Hi user name is Henry, not Hurts...

Hi Dutch Cracker!!

Jason, you sound blacker than a mothefucker, if I didn't know that you were white...I'd assume it's a black dude rapping....but let's get to the track

It's good, I'm preety sure most of us here were ready to laugh at this track, but you proved us wrong.

The piano, and the string arrangement is real nice. The kicks and snares sound too 808'ish/ and fruity loopy. But, put together they make the track and the final product sounds real nice.

The flow is your own, you do have an original style, you sound like ride the track very comfortably, althought you stretch out a lot of words to make them fit with the beat. Also, you, or whoever produced this track, should learn how to use Adlibs better. In some parts of the song you've placed them on top of your lyrics and its really hard to hear what you're really saying.

My only problems with the song is that you curse a lot, It's like all I hear is, fuck this, motherfuckers, bitch, bitch...

Other than that, so far so good.

Production: 8
The Beat: 8
Lyrics: 6
Flow: 7
Subject matter: 6

So, your over all is a 7 out of 10, which is preety fucking good.
Let's put it this way, for an amateur, you did better than Benzino ever would have...

eh, it wasnt bad but, it seemed like ur trying to put 2 much emotion or trying to sound 2 tuff at parts. you sound 2 slurry and messy at times. hook is kinda lame....needs more work. not really liking, i guess uh....ur detroit accent, but maybe dats just me. sounds like ur out of breath a lotta times. lyrics was coo though.

the beat is pretty nice, good job whoever did it, dunno if you did or not.

flow was coo, not really my taste though.

impressed with the equipment ur rocking with.

needs to be mixed better.

overall i give it a 5/10.
but not 2 shabby for a first track.
and this is just 1 mans opinion.

<pure shock> Really!!!! Wow, never heard that before. My old producer that was producing me when I was doing stuff off of home studio equipment told me I sounded like Spice 1, but never heard anyone say I sound black.

That's because as I've said over and over, and this thread proves it, you all judge me (and everyone else) like you've known them for years. You know nothing about me, so don't judge me. That's all I ask.

Quite frankly, when Dave asked me if he could post it, I was kinda hesitant because I was expecting people to tell me what a joke I was, even if they thought the song was good. Glad to see a lot of you are at least honest.

Well, I will get better the more shit I do. And I know that. I didn't expect to cut my first track and sound like 2pac or something. The guy that produces me, Rick Young, is definately a pro. He used to play bass in the 80's rock band Teezer.

As for how I put the vocals, I'm pretty much like Pac. I do it and don't think twice.

My only problems with the song is that you curse a lot, It's like all I hear is, fuck this, motherfuckers, bitch, bitch...
I think that's only the first verse. And hey, man, I curse a lot because I was pissed off. I mean, when you record something you wrote a year ago, you need to get yourself back into the mood you were in when you wrote it. The song is about my enemies.

Other than that, so far so good.

Thanks, man. I appreciate that very much.

How can you put too much emotion into a song? I don't think that's possible. I'm not trying to sound hard at all, I just spit it the way I felt. The song isn't about me trying to be hard. It's about me saying that all these fuckers in my life who say they want to beat my ass have been 5 feet from me and had the opportunity and then never do anything. You're the first person that's ever said the things you said.

the beat is pretty nice, good job whoever did it, dunno if you did or not.
Nah. I'm working on getting my own mixing board, once that happens then I will be producing myself. Rick Young of Talent Live Records did everything. Produced, arranged, mixed, all that shit.

your flow is very good
your little follow ups to the rhymes (0:28, 0:52, 1:37 etc) make it hard to hear the rhyme and occur too often
as for voice and lyrical content, i didn't really like it

true that, lemme restate it.

sounds like ur trying to force emotion into it, doesnt sound natural.

maybe that helps....
Well, again, you're the first person to ever tell me that.

Trust me dogg, no forced emotion at all. I'm talking about 2 of my worst enemies EVER on that track...I didn't need to force anything.

My follow ups?

WTF you talking about?

As for the lyrical content, and this is not ego, but just my opinion, my lyrical content is better than at least half of the rappers out today.

I've heard almost all the rappers out today.

See, this is what gets me about some of you people. You come on here, not knowing a thing about me, and start telling me what I've listened to.

Also, if you paid attention, as for your comment about "this is in the wrong forum". Look at the thread starter...it wasn't me.

And also, you're off topic. The thread was meant to promot my music and get opinions. Did you listen to the song?

I know it wasnt you, i didnt say it was you.

Which rappers do you think you are lyrically better than?

Off topic? or starting a discussion which is within the thread?

Well, if you're expecting me to say Jay Z and Nas, don't worry, I am not an idiot.

However for current day artists, I KNOW I'm better than:
Ludacris
Tha Eastside Boyz
Lil Jon
Nelly
Chingy
Game
Bizarre
Kon Artis
Swifty
50 Cent
Stat Quo
Ja Rule
Snoop Dogg

Also, I know I might get a lot of hate for this, but I also think that my lyrics are AS GOOD in most cases, if not better than 2pac. Now, I'm speaking LYRICALLY only. And again, that's not ego, just the truth. To me, 2pac is the greatest rapper to ever touch a mic, however, on the average his lyrics were just mediocre. It was the passion and intensity and realness in his voice that made him so fucking spectacular.

Artists I wouldn't even compare myself to because I'd find it disrespectful are Nas, Eminem, Jay Z off the top of my head.

should make a track about your internet beef's , im sure you have more of them than in real life. now im just hating,.haha
LOL @ "internet beefs".

Do such things occur? I don't "beef" with people over the net. LOL that's funny and anyone that says they have "beef" with someone on the net is fucking pathetic. ESPECIALLY when you're speaking of someone you don't know. Just sad shit.

My next song to get recorded is going to be the song that I think could get me some major name recognition. It's called "Emotionally Burned" and is a Dear Mama/Mockingbird type of song.
