Is 'Wigga' racist?

I've always thought of the word Wigga as a derogatory term for a White person, who has an interest in black culture; and therefore a racist word.

Wigga isn't racist. A racist term describes a race. Wiggers are not a race. No matter how you spell it.


It is a word to describe white people who act black, from the way they speak to the way they dress etc. It is not a term used to describe someone who has an interest in black culture or who likes hip-hop.

the definition of a wigger is very simple...

it is a person who is white, who idolizes his own racist beliefs of what he has quantified black culture to be. the wigger believes that is he acts like the sterepotypical black image that he believes in, then black people will welcome him into their culture. the truth of the matter is that neither black or white folk will ever welcome the wigger and they will forever be an outcast (all the while thinking they are cool).

the wigger is more of a racist than those of us who label him as such. the wigger believes that black culture is the same across person and region, and that all black people are a certain way - they all listen to hip hop, they all dress in baggy clothes, and they are uneducated clowns. while the wigger is trying to give props to black culture and gain an entry to it, he is actually just as racist and pathetic as the redneck who hates blacks. the difference is that the redneck wears his hate as a badge of honor, so you can see where he stands at all times; while the wigger is a confused moron who idolozes the same people he has created racist generalizations about.

the true definition of race denotes more than just cohorts, however in many definitions it has been over-simplified. i wouldn't call a group of comic book collectors a race, and nor would i call a group of crackers who try to act "black."

I do not consider them a race either, but by definition of the English and American dictionaries, and by law, cultural groups are races. As I said in a previous thread, this also includes groups defined by disability, age and sexual preference.

Yes that's one of the definition's of race but not the definition used when talking about racism.
