in this year or the last couple infact, what albums do you think was better then relapse?
El-P's I'll Sleep When You're Dead had better beats, better content, better production, better replay value than Relapse. Although El-P's rhymes comes short technically, I think his shit would leave some rapper's tongues twisted in a knot.
The only thing Relapse has is Eminem's ability to flow like a mad man, and I don't see how anyone can hold a straight face and claim that it's brilliant or it's the best thing since sliced bread.
The content Eminem brings to the table with this album, to me, is no different than slapping hoes, smoking blunts, candy paint and 24 inch rims. Just some collection of shallow, short sighted, tiresome comedy disguised under well crafted rhymes.
The question is, being an Eminem fan, and knowing the power he has, am I willing to lower my standards and claim this work to be great? Hellllllll NO! Not yesterday, not today, and not forever.
The man is a genius and the best thing to hit rap since Pac
and So Fi wonders why I am so mad. Regardless of how serious this member is, it's some bullshit I would hear my friends saying.
Eminem is no doubt talented, but that's not the point.
Tupac cared about his people, and he had so much passion and believed in what he was saying.
What does Eminem do besides talking about himself and being a douche out of not having anything else to talk about? Yeah, I feel so sorry for him 'cause he doesn't have pills to fall back on anymore.. hang it up.
Yeah, I'm mad! I'm mad as hell and I will not calm down.
