I actually laughed at the second sentence, Carmi.
Yeah... I was actually wondering why the thank you.
Like I understand Relapse is not on the same level as MMLP and SSLP. But truth is, I doubt Eminem will ever be able to release albums like these again because:
1 - he is no longer hungry. he doesn't need to prove himself.
2 - he has evolved and unfortunately failed at delivering it to his album. he rapped about topics he knew made him famous for but are they even relevant to him at this point?
3 - his lyrical abilities have improved. but he isn't on point topic wise and humor wise.
i feel he is trying hard to recreate what he was but he is no longer that person, which lead him to an epic fail.
but i can appreciate Relapse for what it is, and i can say i'm happy it's better than most releases these days. it hasn't stoop to the club bangers low that most rappers go for nowadays.
therefore this album is not wack. it's better than average considering what mainstream rap has to offer nowadays. we can only hope that now that he has caught the public's attention Relapse 2 will be less humor and celebrities dissing and more about what he has to say and inspired tracks, more like Beautiful, Careful What You Wish For, Underground.
