Technology Android

I'm getting the Nexus S. There's no point in holding out anymore. I get a discount with T-Mobile, the phone is discounted on T-Mobile, it's unlocked automatically, it's dope, it looks dope, it's a no brainer.

What you guys think? Android 7 theme, can use whatever picture or text, it's your preference, I'm digging it.

Casey. facebook, messaging, twitter, calendar. Doing some digging the creator of Launcherpro twitted anderwebs and asked about the widgets working with adw, ander of course agreed. I guess they're working on it.

Casey, you know anything about messing with apk's. I dont imagine it'd be too hard. I want to take the widgets from launcherpro and put em on my phone, probably through adb or something

Why not find a ROM that has what you want? Or ask someone from XDA.

OK, I'm gonna have to pass on the Nexus S. £550 without contract is just extortionate.

I see brand new Desire Z's and Desire HD's going for £330-£350 on eBay.

I mean, I could try and import a NS from the US, where they cost $530 I think. But I'm leaning more towards the Desire Z given that Gingerbread doesn't yet include the Gtalk video chat as had been heavily speculated, so the front facing camera becomes less of a big deal. And the NFC chip is cool but I don't see many practical uses for it for at least another 18 months.

^pretty much. It's yesterdays hardware with tomorrows, well todays, software. Yippee!?

No Orion, no hspa+, plus some other things = no good for me. I thought they released the first Nexus with the thoughts of not only having a true Android phone but also to push the device game forward. With this it's going backwards, literally. I think them trying to get a pre christmas release date fucked em over. As of right now the LG Star is where it's at.

Might be worth mentioning that there was a few features in the N1 that weren't mentioned when it launched and people noticed them once it started shipping.

It's also the first phone in the world with a NFC chip, so let's remember that when Apple put one in the iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 and put out a press release saying it's magical and revolutionary and nobody has ever done it before.

Anyone know of a good site to get free apps? i was using blapkmarket but hat shit is down again..

It's as hacked Market. All apps are free on there. It goes down at times as well due to server issues, but...when it works, it works well.

Is it an app or something?

So I have a debacle sort of. I like the widgets of launcher pro, for example the messaging, calendar, facebook and twitter widgets. But as a launcher I like ADW far better. I've been looking at some things but haven't found good replacements for the widgets. Anyone know of any?

I'm not so sure that would work... I believe the LauncherPro widgets were coded to only work with LauncherPro and not any other launcher.... which widgets are you referring to specifically? Surely there are some viable alternatives in the Market....

Man posts are all fucked up and out of order, this shit is mad annoying.

what does updating the radio do?

i.e. what will be the difference between running CM 6.1 (stable version) on the current radio i have and also the new one that just got released?
