11/12 Premier League thread

I wasn't speaking about Red Cafe, I was on about you in particular, all you do is whine and moan and cry every time man utd win or get a decision, but then you're silent when it happens to other teams, why is this? Or are you one of those retarded football fans that is so biased they can't see the game in a logical sense?

This is why I don't like to discuss football with many people, because they're opinion are masked by obvious bias. The difference is, I can and will praise Liverpool, Duke as a Twente fan can still praise Ajax. When fans let their love for their club cloud their decisions they might as well fuck off from a footballing debate.

Example, If me/2pax ever made a comment about Liverpool that was negative you would go absolutly nuts like when you did when I mentioned Real Madrids failing against Liverpool, you took it as a personal attack on Liverpool. If any of us called Liverpool players pricks and cunts you go nuts like a baboon, however you do the same shit all the time about Man Utd players.

With that said, there isn't much left on SH to discuss about football, so be it, I'd rather discuss it with people who can actually speak about it in a mature way so you can keep your Man Utd rants on here, if it makes you happy and gets you through the day :thumb:

you have a point tbf. and out of all the man utd supporters i talk about football with in real life and online you are one of the fairest and knowledgable about football. tbh my rants about man utd arent aimed at you, im just talking in general and i do feel strongly about the fact that decisions seem to go their way alot. also, i know you dont slag liverpool off much but when Illuminatille was here, he was constantly posting pictures and making anti liverpool which he is entitled to do since he doesnt like liverpool.

anyway i really am fed up of football.

this whole Torres affair was the last straw for me. extremely disappointed.

to go and fork out 40 million or whatever it was for Carroll really baffles me but i dont there was any other option. Torres announcing he wanted to go was a bombshell and the club didnt have much time to get a replacement. also, Dalglish must see something in Carroll. he has had a good record of buying strikers in the past so we will just have to trust him on this one and himself and Suarez might be an excellent partnership for the future.

Chelsea are welcome to Torres. he suits them down to the ground. a classless bluffing cunt. really pulled the wool over the liverpool supporters eyes for along time.

was hoping we would get Adam as well.

Aye, But it's all good however. Funny thing is even though I despise Liverpool even I was sickened by Torres's interview today

Torres: "It's every footballers dream to play for a big club and I can finally do that now"

Seems a classless fellow.

£35m for Carroll is retarded, worth more than David Villa even though he is only proven in the Championship. Football has further distanced itself from reality.

You don't want Adam, you would have to build a team around him for him to be at his best, Get back Aquaman and nurture him into being a playmaker.

I like Adam though. im not just saying that because he has been good this season but i saw him alot last season for Blackpool too and i was always impressed with him. im not sure if this was true, but i think Ferguson was interested in him too.

you know what the funniest thing of all is.

Liverpool fans will look back on Ryan Babel with far more fondness than Torres now.

he may not have been the greatest player we ever had but he was a very likeable type of guy. he was a player that most the fans always wanted to come good but it just never worked out.

contrast what he said today and what Torres did.

Oh my god... Carroll and Bent are worth more than David Silva, Tevez, Dzeko, David Villa, and so on...!?

Fuck Carroll. I'm glad we picked up Suarez.

Fuck Fernando Whorres.

ill trust Dalglish on this one.

he has had a good record on signing strikers in the past.

they must see something in Carroll because Redknapp was after him too and seemed pissed off that he went to Liverpool. he is a player with potential and that partnership with Suarez could be very good. we need to sign a winger too though.

Oh he is good, no doubt about that....but 35M???????????????? He's not worth half that... We just payed 35 Mill for an INJURED player who scored 17 goals in the Championship and 14 gols in the Prem...

^^of course he isnt. but thats the ways its gone now. you want to buy a player from another premier league team and you pay way over the odds.

but this is all a result of that cunt Torres screwing us over. there werent many options available and we badly needed a replacement before the window closed.Newcastle knew this too. If Torres told them he wanted to go 2 weeks ago, it might have been a different story. ill always hate him for this. there is no comparison between Owen joining United and this imo.

One thing about Owen, Liverpool fans were saying Owen let his contract run down so he could leave for cheaper so that's one reason they dislike him, but isn't it better that a player fulfils most of contract then do what Torres did and leave half way through?

Anyway, the Carroll transfer is a risk obviously, I do think he's good but it just shows how ridiculous the market is, Carroll coming out saying he didn't want to join Liverpool, it's just ridiculous.

Wolfsburg signed a lot of players in the window. Also Freddy Adu joined...a second division club in Turkey after failing to join a second division club in Germany, a midtable team in Denmark and a relegation threatened team in Switzerland who all turned him down.

Torres: "It's every footballers dream to play for a big club and I can finally do that now"

He's just stating facts. How many trophies did he win at Liverpool? Can't talk about Rafa's flukey win and the 80's forever.

I like what Liverpool are trying to do, and it seems their potentially best signing has gone right under the radar.

Also if Carroll fulfils his potential and Suarez settles easily, it will look like a good bit of business.

I also think it's wrong to compare transfers at different times of the year in different countries to these. £35 million is a ridiculous amount, but it is justifiable with basic economics.

Wasn't Liverpool in the market for a playmaker? Did they sign anyone? If not, what the fuck were they doing spending everything on 2 guys... I predict one to become a flop.

Ironic thing is, he left Atletico to win trophies, since he left they have won 2 and lost in the Spanish cup final.
