11/12 Premier League thread

There was a good interview with Richard Dunne in today's Irish Independent. He was very critical of that absolute cunt, Gary Cook. He is the Man City chairman. According to Richard, Hughes wanted to hold onto him but Cook was trying to sell him behind his back because all he wants is "big names" at the club and he hasnt a clue about football. There were also alot of promises made by Cook when Dunne signed his last contract including a testemonial which werent fulfilled. Nice way to treat an honest pro who has given alot to the club over the past 6 years or so. He was voted fans player of the year for 5 years in a row before last season

You might remember Gary Cook's comments last year after they failed to sign Kaka. He made some pretty snide comments about AC Milan suggesting that the deal was too big for them. It was a dig at AC Milan, one of the greatest clubs in the world who have signed some of the greatest players.

He is absolute cunt. I hope Man City fail with all their mercenaries and money grabbers like Tevez and Adeboyor. I can see these players having a huge fight one of the days. I wish Given would leave after the treatment of his friend. and finally i hope that bald space cadet traitor cunt breaks his leg . thats is all.

Disgraceful...

Out of all the english leagues, the ones I've always hated has been Man City and Birmingham.

Edit: Not surprised though, I knew they'd be pushing out all the 'average players' to bring in stars. It was eminent...

live ford super sunday! cant wait, ive booked a day off work to watch the match. COME ON VILLA!!

luke young is back from leave of absence after the death of his half-brother. dont know if he'll make the matchday dquad or not though and if so, not sure if he'll get time out on the pitch because he might be way too emotional still and not match fit, and during a derby it all could result in a bad outcome. i'd like to see him play though and really put a top class performance in.

also, looks as though we'll be handing RICHARD (lol) dunne his first start. i hope milner, heskey and young stay clear of injury during their time with england. we definately need milner in that squad. need gardner to make an appearance because he'll only leave this season if we dont use him.

funny how people only remember the first season when blues came up and they did the double over us and therefore think that they always beat us every time they play us. that was just the one season. the season after we drew 2 games against them. that very season they were relegated. when they came back up we battered them, they got relegated and the time they came up again we hammered them again both times.

we've now won the last 4 against them, thrashing them 4 consecutive times. may we get that to 6 times this season. but somehow, annoyingly they mess up our clean sheets by grabbing lucky conselation goals.

my favourite goals against them in recent years, no paritcular order:

the obvious one: gary cahill with the overhead kick, that moment, live, was truly amazing - especially because no-one would've though a centre-half would execute a move like that, totally unexpected.

thomas hitzlsperger aka der hammer: this guy's shooting accuracy is insanely so precise. he must have taken that shot a good 35-40 yards out.

gabby agbonlahor: this guy saved a liam ridgewell header from a corner (almost into stoppage time) off the line down his own end only to race up the field into the box and head an ashley young cross past their keeper a mnute later in the 87th minute. such a dramatic finish to the game which caused lots of trouble outside their ground, riots all the way into the city centre.

and the reverse fixture that season at villa park, carew and young with 2 goals each, gabby with the fifth. the trio of gabby, ashley, big john annihilated the small heath alliance that day. :)

i remember that game. 2 seasons ago wasnt it? and Ridgewell was at fault for Agbonlathor's winner as well i think.

The greatest moment of any Brum derby was Peter Enckleman letting the ball roll under his foot :D

he couldve easily saved that mistake from happening. i mean at least try and stop it. he gave up half way, he could have slid in and cleared it away. never touched his foot otherwise would have changed speed or direction therefore i dont think the goal should have been given.

True but it was still hilarious, especially when the fans ran on after it :D

Is Adebayor stupid? He's gonna get a suspension for sure for taunting the Arsenal fans. Security had to control the crowd, they were about to rip his head off...
