11/12 Premier League thread

Our forwards bottled it on Sunday :notrust:

Almunia is the worst goalkeeper in our history.. I can't believe AW keeps sticking with him..

I swear every other top club in Europe have at least 1 world class goalkeeper and we're stuck with that piece of shit.

Wenger needs to get his cheque book out in January if Arsenal are going to compete at the top level.

the one thing that really pisses me off when these so called football experts start ranting on is some of the ridiculous shit they come out with. Like yesterday when Ray Houghton was talking about Van Persie and how he is a big loss for Arsenal. Then he went on to criticise Wenger for not having an effective replacement. He wondered why Arsenal dont have "a like for like". I also hear this same bullshit argument when they discuss Liverpool's squad and how we dont have a top replacement for Torres when he is injured. Heres some reasons you fucking dumbasses:

1. The like of Torres and RVP are pretty much irreplaceable. They are two of the best in the world atm. Any player that is good enough is already at a big club. The only way is to find to find a good youngster, give them chances and they may become a top player. In fairness, Wegner is doing this and so is Benitez with David N''Gog.

2. How the hell could you have a like for like in your squad? lets say Arsenal still have Adeboyor and Wenger favours RVP to play upfront in the current set up they have, do you think a striker of Adeboyor's calibre will be happy to be RVP's replacement. I highly doubt it. Same with Liverpool. Lets say that we have, for the sake of this argument, David Villa in our squad. With the formation liverpool plays, we would have either Torres or Villa to play up front with Gerrard behind them. Do you think Villa would be happy sitting on the bench as Torres's replacement or vice versa? no way. Even players like Keane or Crouch who are not as good as Villa were unhappy with that situation. They both left because of it.

I really wish these idiots that get paid to talk about football would use their brain before spouting off this kind of rubbish.

Arsenal are too soft and too weak. this game showed up this fact like the the champions league semi final last year. Thats the big problem. Chelsea completely bullied them. Did you see when Drogba shouldered Traore? he sent him flying about 10 yards onto the floor. Ivanovic did similar to someone else

You look at Barcelona and they play great football like Arsenal. they have a lot of smaller players as well like Arsenal but their players are as tough as nails and are able to stand up to anyone. You see the likes of Messi and Iniesta getting the shit kicked out of them in games but it never seems to faze them.

Iniesta and Xavi are so solid on their feet... It's incredible that players like Pepe and Lassana Diarra were not able to push them around...

LOL! That was a classic moment in the game. I think Traore had every intention of getting Drogba off the ball but, it didn't work out. The strength Drogba has is simply one of a kind.

Heard Spurs fans voted Kranjcar as player of the month. He's been Godly these few matches, should have gotten one against Villa, but their keeper was top-notch.

Harry is gonna have quite the decision to make when Modric comes back, cause I don't see Kranjcar heading to the bench.

^^will they boo them if they dont go? or leave early if they arent playing well? the majority of those Arsenal fans are pathetic imo.

anyone care to comment on my other post?

Some Arsenal fans want to get rid of a few players such as:

Rosicky
Walcott
Eduardo
Denilson

Rosicky has been injured since like forever.
Walcott was just hyped cause he scored a hat-trick against us, he's got pace that's all... then again, he was facing Pranjic in LB ... which really isn't his role.
Keep Dudu. :@
Denilson, I wouldn't say he's useless

As for Bobby's post, I agree. I watched the match against Chelsea, Arsenal was being walked all over.

i meant this one.

Yep. I bet they will. I was surprised the amount of criticism Eduardo got from Arsenal fans. His Premiership record isn't great but he can't play as a lone striker against Chelsea, not many can.

And I agree with your other post, but RVP is pretty injury prone anyway, but then again, Bendtner, Vela, Eduardo is good enough cover.

Liverpool do need another striker though (like a Robbie Keane or actually someone like Nevland who doesn't mind sitting on the bench but can make a good contribution, Man Utd have got 3 strikers and will be getting Mame Diouf in January and you don't hear many moans and groans from them), though N'gog has got potential

Bobby's post means little on paper, but in reality it is all too true. The simple sentence of "a Torres or RVP can't be replaced" is as true as a horse (horses are VERY true). Some players are irreplaceable.

Though I will say that a balanced and wide selection coupled with good tactics should be able to overcome such a problem, at least on a temporary basis.

But on the highest level, some players are simply irreplaceable.
