Technology Wii sucks ass

^^^^ Someone with brains. You are correct about everything you said.

Anyway...No, I haven't played with the controller yet. I'm going to play it this Sunday. I don't expect anything less than quality though, since Nintendo is the one making the console.

Here's a question. If GAME DEVELOPERS (those who actually create the video games we play) are now saying that the Nintendo Wii controller makes the 360 and PS3 controllers feel "old fashioned" (yes, those words came from many japanese developers), don't you think that's a problem for Microsoft and Sony? Face the facts. The possibilities with thkat controller are literally endless...whereas with the 360's controller is very, very limited. It's a shame really that some people here can't embrace what Nintendo's doing.

Oh, and about the games. Yes, it will be able to keep up with the 360 and PS3 because of the new controller. I'll repeat this again. Because of the controller, many developers are leaving Sony to make games for the Wii. The Wii is going to have so many exclusive game titles, it's going to be crazy. You can't DO the things you can do on the Wii with any console. The precise movement, the precise aiming, the 3-D space movement....you cannot compare it to a standard controller with buttons and sticks. Forget Blu-Ray, forget HD-DVD, forget High Defenition visuals....they have NOTHING to do with gaming. Looks like Sony and Microsoft are the ones actually behind the times.

and the controller looks more like a hassle then anything
I kinda thought that too, but then I remembered it's Nintendo, and I know they'll make it right. I remember when the DS first came out I was thinking the same thing. "How in the hell can you press buttons and use the touch screen at the same time? ZOMG MY HANDS WILL BE FLYING EVERYWHERE!@!!" Needless to say I got the DS and it played smooth. It's too bad they don't have much good games for it, though.

Here we go with the blind love for Nintendo again. I was watching the video for Metroid Prime for wii and the dude was aiming his gun with the left thumbstick... have you ever played a game that's done that? Try playing a Dreamcast game ie Quake 3 and tell me how much you like it compared to a Xbox controller where you aim with the right thumbstick.

Faith in the company based on their track record isn't "blind love".

You aim the gun with the Wiimote. That's kinda the point of the Wiimote.

Besides, the thumbstick is on the Nunchuk controller, which is separate from the Wiimote. If you really want to use it in your right hand, put it in your right hand.

You saw someone aiming the gun with the LEFT THUMBSTICK? That person then deserves to be burned at the stake. Yes, as Illum said, you aim with the wireless remote. The analog stick is used for movement and button pressing, but also has motion sensing. As you can see, the set up works perfectly, but at the same time, offers a unique experience.

Diaz, you should check out the DS again, bro. It has triple A titles that you cannot play on a PSP. It's selling at more then five million units while the PSP is at 1 million. The DS is a huge hit, you should pick up the DS lite, it really is an awesome system.

DS games I'd recommend:
-Trauma Center
-Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney
-New Super Mario Bros.
-Mario Kart DS
-Metroid Prime: Hunters
-WarioWare: Touched!
-Castlevania
- And much, MUCH more! With $20-$30 a game, you can't go wrong.

those games are mostly made for kids from 7 to 14...
wtf? those games are in the top games of the year list from which they were released. sesame street is for little kids. mariokart, etc. is for EVERYONE. I'd hate to tell you this...but no "adult" game measures up to mario, zelda, or metroid. all are on the top of the top 100 of all time.

In conclusion: YOU FAIL.

What the sense does that make? Because they're rated Everyone? So is your gay ass FIFA Soccer shit.
dude stop acting so hard...

anyways, i never said cuz they are rated E, its cuz "Mario Kart" and "Mario Bros" wont make me buy a console... The console-sellers of the Nintendo series are made for children... its just that a lot of old ppl buy them too...

and stop insulting ppl for no reason, you make yourself look like an idiot.

^^^^ Agreed. Hm...Sony and Microsoft are advertising "better graphics". Nintendo is advertising "fun" with Wii. Which will I take? I think I'll take "fun".

Sure, there can be serious games. Those games are fun too. But...I've noticed something. They all look the same and all do the saaame things. They are all dark and gloomy. They don't please the eyes with colors and variation....why? Believe it or not, the Earth is a very colorful place  Serious too :hungry:

Yeah. I don't care how old you guys say you are and how "mature" you are, but there's no running away from the facts. Nintendo exclusives will probably always be on top. Whether or not you think those games are kiddy, that's your mistake, because you are missing out on a ton of fun. Also, _carmi hit the nail right on the head with Zelda. Zelda is in no way shape a form a game ONLY for little kids. It's for all ages. The dungeons, strategy, button control in Zelda are currently unsurpassed. Is it kiddy? Why? Because it's made by Nintendo and those kids waving their PSP's with PS2 ports in their pockets say so? That is ignorance at it's best. You (speaking generally) think you got skills because you can kill people in GTA? Go beat a Zelda game without help. Without a book, without the internet or friends. It's an engaging game, but you have to have skills to do something like that. Sure, the last Zelda used cel-shaded / cartoon visuals...but it was still had some of the best visuals of it's time. Why? The art style.

I believe it is the art style that determines the beauty of a game. Take a look at Okami. It uses the same visual art style (not the exact) as the last Zelda on the cube. It's a beautiful game. Wonderful, colorful visuals. But guess what? It's GAMEPLAY got it the high ratings and all of the positive feedback.

Please note...if the PS3 had a nice price tag, I'd be on it for traditional gameplay and look for the Wii for brand new content. But that price is a huge turn off, thus changing my decision. I'm getting a 360 instead.

I understand what you mean. Your arguement is perfectly just, but...

I don't think that it's 100% correct (Nintendo).

You see...there's no doubt that the PS2 has great games. Mature, Teen, Everyone, etc. But wait...it had a TON of "E" rated games. They were awesome. But I thought Sony was "mature"? It seems that theory has a fault....

It appears that Nintendo made the mistake of making the GameCube what it was....a cube. With a kiddy appearance came the "kiddy" talk from the media, therefore causing those who can't think for themselves (not you) and people who just listen to the media to think of Nintendo as a kiddy company.

But they've fixed that. Look at the Wii. Sexy as fuck. Small, sleek, a slide-in CD drive that lights up with a blue light. Sexy.

And...is it me or does Sony want to milk us until we're dry?

Gran Turismo total cost: $600-$900
PS3: $600
Games: $60-$70

I didnt think at all about the GameCube, I was actually talking about the games that they constantly put out... the Mario Party games and shit...

But the thing that I think Nintendo lacks the most is the multiplayer by internet possibility...

See here's why I think its for kids... In NBA Street Vol 3(or 2..the wone with Baron Davis on the cover..) couldn't be played on internet, so what does Nintendo do? well they put Mario, Luigi, Peach and Wario in the game...
come the fuck on!!! They put MARIO in NBA Street

Mario games aren't just kids. Just like Sonic games aren't. Just like The Simpsons isn't.

If you can't look past the cartoon mascot to the actual game, then you're probably not smart enough to play it anyway.
