first off, the Iranian decision was stupid, and i do not agree with it. In Islamic law, the rapists would be put to death.
Now for people that find evry mistake individuals who are muslim and useit to spit on the religion, are ignorant and need to do a litlle research rather than letting emotions make irrational statements. Its like me saying "FUCK CHRISTIANITY its religion of hate, didnt you see what the Nazi's did, cant you see what the skin heads are doing".
As for whats a better place to live, it really depends on what you prefer. West has freedom of speech and expression which is also extremely limited. This "freedom" has brought about many negative effects on society as well as positive. For example, being offensive to another persons beleifs is really no longer a crime. Yes u may argue that thats not the case, but just take this thread as an example, ppl have stated their hate for Muslims and Islam, and said "hey thats just my opinion" & your right it is, but hateful and ignorant views should be kept inside. As for living in the East, the reason I dislike the East is because I do not beleive there is any Government implementing the real Islam. There are individuals who claim to be Muslims, using certain aspects of Islam to their advantage. And if you ask my if i would like to live in a purely Islamic State, yes i would, god willing one day i will. Please do not attack the Islamic state until you have studied it (clue: Iran/Iraq/Saudi Arabia are no way near Islamic States).
Oh and Jaimie, you hate muslims for what they are doing?.. well have you even for a second thought of what caused this behaviour. This behaviour is reactionary, and it did not just emerge because of the cartoon of the prophet (pbuh). You claim we are your enemy but you know nothing about us. From your claims u seem to be a little dillusional, and you've only seen one side of the coin. You hate people that are openly encouraging the death of innocent people. Hmmmm maybe you need to start worrying about the ones causing the death of Innocent people first.
nw Jaimie put urself in a so called extremists shoe for one second.... When you were 8 you saw your neighbours house burning from a bomb that was dropped sometime in the gulf war. Half of your bestfriend was found near-by. Your father lost his arm in the explotion and can work hard labour anymore. Your mom fell sick when you were 9, but your family couldnt afford medication due to the sanctions placed on your country. She dies a few months later shivering in her bed. A shitty life goes on, and you find peace as you pray to god. 13 years later the west again attacks your country, this time killing your father and capturing your little brother. You have no clue where they took him, but the images of abu ghuraib give you a sense of what they may be doing to your brother.... And the story could go on, now i know this is just a made up situation, but you need to understand, this angry Muslim youth did not come from nowhere. And i dont see it getting any better the way things are going.
... I hope people keep educating themselves (including me) in hope to one day see the bigger picture rather than say "fuck islam" or "fuck the west"
