I got to be honest Teck NeeX is obviously passionate about his religion and the where he comes from and apart from some rubbish that comes out of his mouth rightly defends himself and what he believes to be true , however their is no way on this earth will i ever agree that middle eastern countrys are better places to live than the western world .

Their is no way religion ( Muslim or whatever ) gives a better way of life than what westerners are lucky enough to have living in peaceful societys were freedom of speech and action is encouraged - No way on this earth , of course their are good and bad people in all walks of life and bad things can happen anywhere but its blatently obvious countrys thats rules and laws are governed by religious beliefs are not peaceful and to be honest a bloody mess . Am i right ?? please tell me of a middle eastern country that is a better place to live than any western country ??

It seems to me people arguing how bad the west is have an inferiority complex they are desperatly trying to fight and know dam well what a better way of living we have and argue otherwise . But hey - You can keep religion and your less than friendly countrys and ill stay here in the u.k. and live a nice peaceful existance thank you very much .

Law and Religion are 2 different subjects.

Laws in all countries are fucked, some have been in force for 100's of years and need updating. And as usual this turns into a western world Vs Muslim world debate. Dumb.

Im one of the main culprits , however this type of discusion was always going to go this way as i think that Religion and Law go hand in hand in middle eastern countrys as religion is paramount in these peoples lives and dictates how they live , where as you said yourself - us westerners its the law and values that govern ours not are beliefs .

You cannot say that the west offers a better life than other places. we each have our values, you cannot compare by saying your values are better than others. Not all muslim countries are like Iran. But that doesn't mean that middle eastern countries are a worse place to live.
i lived many years in Europe (france, Switzerland and Spain) and i can tell you, different doesn't mean better or worse. Maybe in some countries, religion and sate are not 100% seperate, but what i saw in the west the first time was a horrible way to live: you can see people in the subway walking around lke zombies, working 20hours a day, with no or very few human contacts, people treat others like shit (most of them anyway). people don't talk to their famillies for months: i m not generalizing, but it's a common phenomena in the west. In exchange, you have better technology, better administrative services, a more comfortable standard of living, but that doesn't mean that life is better.
I have lived mainly in Lebanon, and i might be the least religious person on the board, but for me, life in here is 10 times better than in any other western country i ve visited.

You have made some very fair comments although yes you were generalising but no more than i have and i do agree that family life is not what is was in this country like years gone by , but i do feel that a lot of middle eastern countrys are how i have stated , Iran not being the only one and that we live in more civilised societys , Im sure their are people in your country who treat people like shit and as i have stated their are good and bad in all walks of life but On the whole the west is a better place to live imo and you will argue otherwise . If the west is so bad why do people want to live here , i cant see many catching the plane to Libya for example .

i clearly stated that it's not a matter of absolute better or worse. It's all subjective depending on the values you wish to abide by.

The main reason people want to go the western countries is for work opportunities. On the other hand, a lot of western people go to middle eastern countries for vacations, tourisme and even to retires there (mainly in Dubai, and other places like Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon). IMO, if the same oppurtunities were available everywhere, a lot of people wouldn't want to live in the West

Europe wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for Islam and Muslims, And many Islamic nations wouldn't be where they are today if it weren't for European colonization and occupation not too long ago. thats how we were payed back by Europeans after citizines from every European nation flocked to the Middle East to be Educated. They conquered, occupied and left us with nothing but rubble.
