This again shows your ignorance. If people are willing to go to such lengths over cartoons, then don't you think you should ask why they are oing this? I'm not saying like it or join it, but you could at least look at it objectively with arguments/evidence from both sides.
Let me put it this way, for this particular case. Say I insult your mother. Your going to be upset and angry over this. But to me, who the hell is your mother? If I was like you, I couldn't care less and would think your being an idiot for getting angry over some woman who's a nobody. But in reality you would have every right to get angry because your mother has great value to you, maybe not to others but to you. This is maybe becuase you belong to the same family, there is a special bond, etc.
Now take that train of though and apply it to the cartoons and religion. A lot of religions hold certain people higher than others, these people are special, like your mother is to you. Therefore if someone insults them the 'family' is going to get upset and angry. Now take into consideration that this is not over worldly matters, but over religious matters. God (Allah and any other name people know Him by) and religion are more important than anything on this world (I'm not saying agree with this, just understand). Think how angry you would be then? You obviously don't acknowledge this because you, personally, don't place value on the religion, its prophets, etc like some people would place no value on your family. But you have to understand there are people out there you do place value on their religion, as you do to your mother (I'm using her as an example, don't reply with "I hate her anyway".

You're asking others to learn and ask why things happen, but you refuse to do the same. You say you don't have to read up on anything because it's all around you. But where do you get your information from if you're not going out and finding it for yourself? If its the media, then that's just one side of the story because the media mostly reports on the negative aspects of life (that goes for everything, not just religion). If you get your information from friends, who the hell are they? I presume they're not scholars of any kind? Or are they well educated and well informed people? No? So they're average Joe's, like you, who are fed negative reports from the press and other media. You only get one side of the story, therefore YOU are also one who sees things through tinted specs, YOU are the one who has a narrow, single tracked mind and yet you ask OTHERS to educate themselves. With all due respect you can't comment on any of this as your opinion carries little or no weight. Most, if not all of your responses have been prejudice, ignorant and at least border on religious hatred. If this is how the rest of your opinions are formed I suggest you live in a remote part of the countryside somewhere, do not breed and do not pass on your opinion to anyone else. You are the one that is not fit to live in a civilised society.
