There was a hate rally in the UK yesterday.

People were glorifying 911, The bombs in the UK on 7/7, wearing I love Al Qaida hats, and saying Osama was the man. How can they do that? Freedom of Speech.

Who in their right mind agrees with them? If you do you're deranged. They are the reason Muslims are seen as Terrorists, not a shitty cartoon. Obvioulsy I'm not an idiot and realise they are fundamentalists who have brains the size of peas and do not represent the majority of decent hardworking British Muslims.

Anyway my point was... Freedom of speech is accepted in real life. It works both ways. I didn't like, nor did I agree with the political cartoon of your prophet. But I also dislike the hate demo in London yesterday. But I accept people's right to a freedom of speech.

Please also realise though that this board doesn't give you the right to a freedom of speech and that you shouldn't insult people in this forum. This is the part of the forum for adults, which is why I rarely come in here. And I ask that discussions are made in a mature way.

I agree with you but they are some (*) who start insulting blah blah blah blah. Personally i dont start talking shit if someone else didnt do that to me.

that march was organised by al-muhajiroon, which is like the islamic equiivalent to the KKK. There were plenty of peacefull demonstrations - the media is such a bastard that its gona only show them fools cos its "more interesting".

Propagander means that we all getting a false image from the media.

I understand that. All I'm saying is they are allowed to speak also. It isn't a 1 way thing. It's freedom of speech to all. And I think that's a good thing. Even if a few people get their feelings hurt along the way.

I realy do not think these people who were protesting in London represent the opinions of all Muslims just as the B.n.p do not represent the views of decent white folk however they realy do not endear themselves to non-muslims to understand thier way of life and religion by chanting and spreading such evil as they have in London , as i have said before leave if they dont like it here - go and live somewhere else where freedom of speech is not enjoyed . Can you imagine a Christian protest in the streets of a middle Eastern country claiming Death to Muslims etc , they would get strung up ! Now im not saying that these guys should be strung up but certinaly couldnt blame anyone wanting too as imo these actions are more provocative than that cartoon ever could be - gloryfying the death of innocent people and encouraging more violence is a lot worse . Now to be totaly honest im starting to detest Muslims which is wrong of me as they are not all evil and im sure 99% are decent human beings but can you blame someone not getting riled up with such actions ?? Lets now hope that this unfortunate episode doesnt end up in more innocent people being killed on either side and we can all just get along and enjoy are lives peacfully.

Will people stop defending this by saying that it was only satire, humour, jokes. Or by saying that the western media is free to draw whomsoever they will. There are thousands of images of the prophet found on the internet, you don't see anybody saying or doing nothing about them. Yet these latest caricatures are not alike those other thousands of images. Because this is villification, it is demonisation. It's clearly established in western psychology that you demonise a people long enough and sooner or later people will really start to believe it.
The prophet was potrayed as a terrorist and in another he was potrayed as a bigot! In times of an attack from various western nations upon Iraq you turn around and demonise the most revered figure in Islam. What a very arrogant scenario played out by western countries and this transaltes to me the whole 'master, slave' relationship that the west is trying to engineer out with the rest of the world.

'You do this, or that, becasue we say so'
'we will print them and villify respected people in your history and by default conjure up an increasing negative image of islam and we don't care about what you think'

Especially Germany has disapointed me. Don't they remember what this same villification and caricturing did to the jews. Many people feel very resentful towards muslims and caricturing the prophet who is held up as a beacon of good charachter (by muslims and non-muslims alike) to show him as no better than ignorant and violent is only going to reinforce their resilience in 'beating the Islamic threat'
This went beyond satire a long time ago, I see many satirical cartoons against Islam daily, you don't see uproar about them. And also, many western journalists are putting down all the demonstrations down to 'those people' not being able to understand liberal values, bullshit, like I said, it went beyond your innoncent liberal values a long time ago, into an arrogant and dangerous antagonistic move a long time ago.

(In the Middle East peole aren't very media savvy and educated, so they are only reacting to what would come natural to someone who isn't really up on 'media image'. Akin to black people rioting so stfu and stop picking out people and looking down on their reactions, like you western educated spoon fed brats always do. What if I always picked out 50 cent, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, George W Bush, some pornstar and another randomn ghetto thug or wigger to judge the western worlds view every single time? You'd be screaming ignorance! Well, for years western peole have been getting the views of the muslim versions of the same type of low life people and we have had to get on with things and try to defend our position as best we can. Yes it isn't right or 'media friendly' but if the educated people in the Middle east did something (which they aint) then you would be wishing for the gunmen running up and down the streets to come back, because it wouldn't be pretty for any of us.

You've done it to the Jews the Japanese in the second world war (anyone seen the bugs bunny cartoons, those sterotypes are still here today) and now it time to give it to the evil muslims.

Like you say, a lot of less educated and less open minded will believe that the minority represent the general Muslim opinion. Just like a lot of less educated less open minded people believe that all white women are easy. Programmes like Ibiza Uncovered help give people these ideas.

It also gives racist people ammunition. The BNP will be using these hate rallies to get more seats, and more constituencies.

And as I said before - I think you'll find most people on this board are with you. We don't judge all muslims by the minority who have called for acts of Terrorism, and we don't support the piss take of your prophet. What we do support though is freedom of speech, it's what makes us "western educated spoon fed brats" so great.

Fair comment however Ibiza uncovered is slightly less prevocative than the covarage of the London protests but i see your point , however im not uneducated and very open minded but im bursting with hatred when i see those protest pictures and ashamably becoming very predjudiced against Muslims because of it , but can you blame me or anyone else not getting upset over this ? I just want to destroy those hate preaching bastards .

Damn straight.

And on a lsat note: Muslims should stop viewing those cartoons as an all out assault on Islam. It's not. I don't know what makes them want to victimize themselves.

It does make you angry when they take little kids out who are too young to form their own opinions. But there have been changes in law and now members of Fanatical hate groups like the BNP will be going to prison for hate crimes.

I think this slightly goes beyond pure "satire".

Satires are usually witty in the way they criticise or comment on a situation. These caricatures weren't really saying anything other than "this religion is violent and is riddled with terrorists".
