This is retarded. You pick the sources that are your point of view, if something is brought up the only reply is "that stuff is wrong, scientists are liars and make things up". If you think that we appeared 6000 years ago, fine. Just realize that you're ignoring 99% of all scientists in the world

The theory of evolution does not say that god doesn't exist, yes there are people who believe in evolution and don't believe in god, but that is their own personal belief. It may go against your religious beliefs that god created man as he is, but once again i state, the theory of evolution does not disprove god. To disprove a diety one would have to be omnipotent, aka a god. Also I wouldn't trust a guy who calls himself a doctor by getting a bachelors degree in "religious teaching" through correspondents from an unaccredited college and he was recently (july 13th 2006) arrested and indicted on 58 charges ranging from tax evasion to threatening IRS investigators.

but we're not discussing evolution, we're discussing the age of the earth. My disbelief of god has nothing to do with the age of the earth, scientific fact proves the earth is older than 6000 years old. I can't prove a person who doesn't accept facts wrong because they live in their own world.

The person who made up the challenge you linked has said that it is IMPOSSIBLE to do his challenge and it is flawed because his challenge has the added rule of DISPROVING GOD. You cannot disprove god with evolution because evolution does not say there is no god. Understand?

Do you mean that god hasn't said the earth is billions of years old and evolution is true? Then you're right, we have no proof, since that's the only proof you recognize.

refutable by whom? People who call themselves doctor because they did a course over the mail at some unknown college? Look at scientific journals and magazines in the past 50 years, none have arguments about the age of the earth anymore, go to the worlds best universities and you will find no debates on the subject. The only people who are questioning something so concrete as the age of the earth are people who take a book so literally that they believe everything in it

Sometimes i wonder why people argue about certain things. I mean in this case its not even debatable that the earth is billions of years old. People who dont want to accept it are so hard-headed/blind that i would immediately lose my interest in continuing to debate.

i do not respect people who are non-believers simply because they take "science over god". the two are co-existant.
those who believe in god are not afraid of science because (since god created everything) science was created by god.
einstein was a believer, and look at his contribution to science.
i think it was he who said that god wanted us to find out as much as we could, and therefore god made physics the way it is. just about everything can be calculated and predicted...
