Inspectah Deck Disses Joe Budden

#1
I guess this is response to Joey talkin about how wu is afraid of sending lyrics his way, cuz they know they'll get bodied. He said that it aint directed at meth or rae, it was directed at everyone, cuz everyone is afraid of em.

Well, the Rebel INS went in on em, and Buddens claims he wont reply (in other words is buying time)

It's a good diss record. I would still be confident if I was Budden though. I wonder if this will spill onto the rest of the Slaughterhouse.

this is an average diss...not good, but not bad.

its just that he offers nothing new in terms of punchlines (nothing Saigan didn't say before) and his facts aren't straight (Budden never beefed with Lloyd, he beefed with Game LOL)

Like I said in my news post, why mention the rest of Slaughterhouse, collectively they would murder him and possibly Wu Tang right now.

^^ I dont think he dissed Slaughterhouse at all... "How you Slaughterhouse, you barely get a nod." Seems more like he's saying that Joe doesn't deserve to be a part of Slaughterhouse. But I guess it could be taken a different way.

I dont think Slaughterhouse will get down on some SH vs Wu shit. I dont know about Royce but it seems like Crook and Joell have too much respect for wu to get down like that. Wu tang doesnt really consist of battle emcee's but on some real shit Wu Tang Clan aint nothing to fuck with. The industry cats know that shit.

Budden doesnt want it with the Wu....they would lyrically tear him to shreds.

This beef is a joke anyway.

36 Chambers > Budden's career.
Most of today's rap fans, who like Budden and co., dont give a fuck about 36 Chambers, and none of them are as dope as they were then anyway.

I dont care about today's fans, most of todays rap fans think Lil Wayne is the greatest thing since sliced bread but we all know his music is shit. I care about real hip hop and the impact the great artists and albums have had. Fact is, 36 Chambers is one of the most monumental hip hop albums EVER, and Budden will never come close to creating an album on its level. The Wu did waaaay more for hip hop then Budden can ever hope to do, face it.

And sure, the Wu are passed their prime, but even still, they would lyrically violate Budden on the mic just cause they are more talented as MC's in general. Wu Tang forever mothafuckaz!!

None of that means they could out battle or out rap Joe Budden or Slaughterhouse.

in any case, my money would be on the Wu, which are arguably the greatest collection of MC's ever assembled. Its funny too cause the Wu arent even really battle MC's, but they are so talented lyrically they dont have to be, cause cats are afraid to get at them, and for good reason. Even in the east/west beef in the 90's, Biggie, Nas, Mobb Deep, and Jay all got dissed, but no one went at the Wu, cause cats knew better. Budden dont want it with the clan. The Wu wins this by default anyway since Budden can only dream to have the impact and career the Wu has had. Word up.

I completely disagree. Most of today's POP fans do not care about 36 chambers. Any fan of hip hop studies their history. Me and most people I know were too young to be listening to 36 chambers when it first drop. But I can easily say that every single rap fan I know fucks with 36 chambers. The only people that dont really revisit monumental hip hop classics like that, are dudes that listen to whatever is in the top 40 list or whatever on their local radio station. I wouldn't consider them hip hop fans at all.

Personally, I'm a Slaughterhouse supporter, in my circle. The inner city heads do not give a fuck about SH. I musta spent an hour or two, last sunday debating dudes about that shit. Dudes were straight clowning em (minus Joell Ortiz). Joe Budden is talented as fuck, but ppl will always look at em as the wack ass pump it up kid. And the guy that cries about some shit everyday to stay relevant.

As far as battle rapping is concerned, I dont think the wu is all that. But I really did enjoy this and Paper Plates. and I think Joe Budden is a waaaaaaayyyyy overrated battle rapper. So I dont know who would win that shit. But I just hope Budden is not dumb enough to retaliate against the whole wu on some gangsta shit. He's already lucky Saigon didn't run into him when they were beefing.

Could be an age thing too....at 31, I probably have a greater appreciation for the classics of the early-mid 90's then the average kid who listens to rap today. I still play 36 Chambers, Chronic, It Takes A Nation, Illmatic, Ready to Die, Me Against the World, Midnight Maruaders, and all the other classics from that era on the regular.

90% of todays rap is a joke to me.

i think a Slaughterhouse vs. Wu-Tang beef would be interesting, but one which i dont really want to see happen. I have so mcuh respect for wu, one of my favourite groups of all time but right now, slaughterhouse are my favourite active group (wu arent really active, neither are d12). so i dont want to see or hear diss tracks between them - because i might start to take sides like with the eminem and royce beef. i liked royce but then found myself beginning to hate him. right now, royce is probably my favourite rapper (eminem doesnt really count because he's just released one album and that's it - when will it be the next time we see him? royce will keep active for a long time now because of the projects he's set to drop in the coming years, em just has relapse 2).

anyway, my point is i dont want to find myself to be taking sides and disliking anyone less. Wu = GREAT, Slaughterhouse = Great in the making if they make the right decisions and last long enough.

I'm with Hellrazor and Immortal on this one.
Slaughterhourse is not in their league at all.
I steel didn't even listen to them at all though I consider myself a hip-hop fan. It's more like 2pac versus Mobb deep, then Mobb deep vs. the Outlawz and Yukmouth versus The Game.
imo Yuk performed the greatest diss ever - to me Game over 2 > Hitemup but still it was said that the Game won it. It was something that I never understood but it turned out that Yuk looked funny to the media back then.
That's how Joe looks compared to the Wu.

IF a beef between Slaughterhouse and the Wu happened it would be the best thing that could happen to Slaughter popularity and career-wise.

Oh lol If I was Deck I'd use this to diss the shit out of the SH:

Joell's personality is the most standout.

Anyway, if IT did come to a SH v WU battle, in this day I would go for SH, however if we were talking baout 10 years ago its Wu Tang.

i dont agree with this at all

GZA is still a great lyricist as he showed on Pro Tools. Ghostface is one of the most consistent rappers around. Raekwon is coming with OB4CL2. I havent heard Blackout 2 but i have heard good things about it so Method Man is still dope. I agree that RZA has gone off the boil a little but he is still my favourite producer. Inspectah Deck is a great lyricist. that hasnt changed. U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna had their moments but were never really great as solo artists anyway imo. and obviously ODB is dead.

i might have forgot someone there.
