"Seven pounds" was one of the most awesome movies I saw this year. Definately worth watching.
Whenever I suggested people to watch it they said that they can't believe that it was so underrated.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0814314/

And this comes from a guy who always disliked Will Smith :)
He was awesome in this movie.

sin nombre - mexican gangsters / a family trying to cross the border

the three burials of melquiades estrada - more us-mexican border drama. a guy gets merked by a border patrol agent, his buddy wants to take him home to his family in mexico to be buried. directed by al gore's old roommate

towelhead - a sexually blossoming middle schooler and the men who ab/use her.

tyson - documentary about the man. everything in it is well-known but mike is the narrator!

the bird people in china - an employee of a japanese company and an employee of the yakuza gangsters extorting the company head into china to appraise a jade deposit. a humanistic clash between mysticism/technology, industrialized society/ludditism, globalism/isolationism ensues with ambiguous results.

the foot fist way - a self-important tae kwon do instructor gets slapped in the face repeatedly by the reality of his existence in hlarious ways, a fat kid does blow.

Lmao, saw all the ones you listed Snowman.
I watched part of City Of God but didn't like the subtitles, too lazy for that, but still seemed interesting.
Didn't like Slumdog Millionaire or Benjamin Buttons even though I love Brad Pitt movies. I liked Children of Men. Hence the Thank You.
LOVED Into the Wild. Friend talked me into watching "My Bloody Valentine," and even though I don't want to watch it because I'm sure it's going to be another stupid horror movie with another empty plot, but I promised.
I'm dying to see Munich but can't fucking find it online. Didn't know Tyson narrated his documentary...that might actually make it worth watching...
