11/12 Premier League thread

you have said in the past that you wanted Everton to finish ahead of Liverpool.

I remember this. It was an antiphrasis to comment on the fact that I'm pissed off of Liverpool playing bad. Basically, I was sarcastic... I hate Everton, they are an annoying bunch of idiots.

Its only right that the team that wins the competition has the right to defend it the following year imo.
I don't think so, I'd rather deserve it through the existing rules, than for someone else to bend the rules just so I can get in that competition.

well that isnt worth a fuck is it? giving up on the team so easy like that.we have every chance of getting 4th spot. Torres doesnt want to go any where. i know this for a fact. which players are morons?

Not giving up on it, but I'm starting to believe that we won't make it.

Except the 2-0 win against ManUtd, what good has happened for us this half season...

It may not be lost, but to turn around the situation that we're in right now is going to be really hard... And I doubt that we have the management and the players for it(note: the players that can pull this off are constantly injured).

Do you understand what I'm trying to say... Considering our situation, if it's either finance or management, we are in an awful position right now to pull off a god damn miracle and go from 8th to 4th in half a season...

Like I said, I'll keep watching every god damn match of Liverpool and I'll cheer them on, but I'm just starting to lose hope.

Also.
If Given won against Liverpool you would be happy FOR him, which doesn't necessarily mean that you HATE Liverpool.
no.

You hate Ireland.

:D:D

Chelsea are a pack of choking cunts.

they cant pull away at all. They need to be taking these chances while Man Utd are missing so many players and playing badly.

It should have been a loss because it wasnt a penalty.

I hate Chelsea. the only reason id want them to win the league is because its the lesser of two evils although the ideal would be for Arsenal to win it.

i know someone who has spoken to him last week after the Wigan game. She works at Anfield and meets the players after every home game.

Anyway,If he did go who would he join? He is extremely loyal to Liverpool and Benitez so i couldnt see him moving to any other English club. Real Madrid is completely out of the question. Barcelona have just signed Ibrahimovic so they would hardly want Torres as well. I guess Italy is a possibility though.

now mancini will want to ring the changes and bring in reinforcements, buy and sell, sell and buy. its just going to prolong the owner's aim of wanting instant success.

glad they never got hiddink. hughes' sacking was unfair, he did quite well to manage a team like that, semi-final, decent position within the PL and only 2 defeats. shame about the draws but at least they werent losses. nevertheless i hate city and wish them every failure!! :D

There is fuck all loyalty in football now a days IMO

I'm pretty sure if Chelsea came in for Torres and offered him £130,000+ p/w he'd be off to London faster than a scouser can say 'calm down'

Loyalty seems mostly lacking in the Premier, but in other leagues you do see it.

Torres would never play at Real Madrid, he's an Atletico boy and will always be.

well i believe Torres is different to your average footballer. He is a genuinely nice guy by all accounts. very down to earth. no bullshit with him unlike Gerrard. He considers himself a scouser now. He even said that he wants his kids to speak with the scouse accent lol.

do you honestly think he'd join those cunts though? He knows that it would hurt the liverpool fans and he appreciates the great affection he gets from them.

look how loyal he was to Atletico. he stayed with them for years and had plenty of chances to leave to a bigger club earlier in his career.

That said, If liverpool fail to get to the champions league then he might be off. But i couldnt see him joining another English club.

Id be very disappointed if he joined that false shithouse of a club. fucking filth.

Torres will rake in the pounds at Watford in the future. Elton will convince him with a special glitter suit.

Rooney is at united for the rest of his career, Scholes and Giggs are great examples of loyalty.

yea it so hard to be loyal when you are part of a successful team and earn big money.

great examples of loyalty would be Matt Le Tissier (Southampton),Francesco Totti (Roma) and Kiko (Atletico Madrid. he even played for the equivalent of 1 pound a week when they were struggling badly at one stage back in 2000)

Le Tissier was sick. I still don't understand why he wasn't in the '98 England squad..

he had some great goals.

Can I say that Le Tissier was good Bobby? Or will that make me a Liverpool hater too? :P

^^ yes but if a player is on big money and is part of a successful team then its gonna be easier for them to remain loyal. Im not saying those guys arent loyal or anything. In fact, i reckon if Manchester United were relegated they'd stay at the club but the point im making is that other players have shown great loyalty in much more difficult circumstances.

Le Tissier was an extremely talented footballer. He has several opportunities to move to bigger clubs, earn bigger money and better his international prospects but he chose to stay and help Southampton fight relegation every season.

Totti hasnt won a whole lot at Roma apart from a Scudetto. He could have moved to one of the Milan clubs or Juve to earn bigger money but has stayed at Roma for all his career.

And as i said, Kiko stayed at Atletico after they got relegated in 2000 and played for nothing.
