11/12 Premier League thread

Whats happened with Rafa ?

Paddy Power have suspended betting on the next Premiership manager to leave, fuelling speculation that it's Rafa and also Talksport said that he had walked out of Liverpool, leaving Sammy Lee in charge tonight.

Probably bullshit but at least its exciting :D

They are rumours. Paddy Power suspended betting on Frank Ribery joining Liverpool. I dont see him playing for Liverpool.

The thing that worries me though is that John Aldridge has said that he heard some shocking news from Anfield.

I know i have been critical of Benitez once or twice in the past but we are fucked if he leaves imo. I hope this isnt true.

Great win for Burnley. A friend of mine is a massive Bunley fan. He used to live there and used to go to alot of games at Turf Moor. He hates Man Utd as well for some reason so he is ecstatic with this.

Liverpool played well tonight. Lucas had a good game. Johnson was MOM though. He was excellent going forward.

Losing to Spurs isnt such a bad thing when you consider how they are playing right now. They tore Hull apart. Fuck Man City, Spurs might be the ones to break the top 4. They have a good squad of players.

Yeah, I'm more and more convinced that Spurs might surprise. They're playing some great footy.

We'll see how they do against West Ham this weekend.

Thats pretty shit what happened Callum Davenport. stabbed in the legs. I read that he might not be able to play again. :(

never mind not playing again. i read just now that he might have to have his leg amputated. fucking hell. Fuck the bastards that did that.

He was back with West Ham right? i just heard that Dean Ashton had to retire from football.

Did anyone of you guys hear about Liverpool supporters Steven Cohen boycott?

He was the presenter of a very popular soccer tv show on Fox and a satelite radio show in the USA. He is a chelsea fan. Anyway back around the time of the Hillsborough anniversary this year, he was on his show, which is broadcast to millions of soccer fans around the US, saying that Liverpool fans were to blame for what happened at Hillsborough and spreading all the rest of the myths and lies about what happened. He always hated Liverpool FC and as far as i know would use every opportunity to take digs and communicate his hate for them on his show in the past. The problem is that alot of US soccer fans who wouldnt have the best knowledge of what happened at Hillsborough ,would no doubt take the lies that he was spewing on his show as the truth. He even ignored attempts by fair minded fans to educate him on the facts of the disaster just so he could continues spreading his hate and lies and to "provoke liverpool supporters" as he bragged about in the past.
Since then a campaign was organised by Liverpool supporters to get him off the air and to stop him spreading his lies and hate. The campaign was led by an american liverpool supporter as far as i know. A boycott of all advertisers to his show was arranged. This boycott was backed by the likes of 442 magazine, WorldSoccerShop, Celtic FC amongst many others. Chelsea FC spoke out against him and distanced themselves from him. Eventually FOX fired him and now his radio show is off the air because many of his advertisers who funded it have pulled out.

Its great that a horrible fucker like this has been removed from tv and radio and cant spread his hate and lies anymore.

You can read up about Cohen and the boycott here:

^Lmao.

I didn't see the game so I don't know how Liverpool played, but why are certain Liverpool fans wanting Rafa out? I thought he had the fans on his side after last season. :wondering:

Liverpool are no way out of the title race though, lol @ people suggesting that.

where did you see Liverpool fans say that? Probably the same ones that keep scapegoating Lucas every time Liverpool loses.

Yea its ridiculous how a team is written off after only 3 games. We were a little unlucky against Villa but the mistakes that were made were terrible. Im worried about the level of performance. We were awful in pre-season. I thought they'd pick it up for the start of the season but its still the same. THey would want to pick it up fast or they will lose more games playing like this.

fuck off sandeep before you say anything :)

let me just say this:

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

and....

you're just lucky that the forum was down for a few days so it allowed for you to let the 3-1 result to sink in before i rubbed it in your face - therefore its not as effective as on the night of your epic loss.

Message forums, phone ins etc. All were saying "In Rafa ..we reserve our trust" Football fans are fickle.

Every team needs a scaepgoat, I bet if Lucas leaves, there will be another player to blame. Right now Man Utd use Park as the scapegoat
