Chamillionaire

yeah he doesnt swear in the ultimate victory at all and since that album he doesnt cuss on his mixtapes eaithier, and the thing is u wont be able to notice he doesnt swear cause he pulls it off big tym with his rhymez.

yeh lyk jeremy said he raps over the beat of other rappers and murders them, most tracks i like his versions better then the original.

Im just suprised not many more ppl are into him, i mean he keepz it real, almost reminds me of pac :sad2:, and things he used to rap about.

Cham and young jeezy are my number 2 equal fav artist at the mom that are releasing gd music, pac being num 1 :D
that's great, if you are expecting another posthumous release from pac :amuse:

so what you are saying is cham takes whole samples and puts his own lyrics on them ... i noticed that listening to one of his tracks today which had the music from a song someone else did called 'the final countdown'

so yeah i basically got the Ultimate Victory album today through the post, listened to it on my way to-and-back from travelling to work, i like the track Pimp Mode so hit the rewind button several times while cruisin'

i'm surprised Chamillionaire isn't more popular, i would like to see more of his videos and singles on mtv in future

him choosing not to swear is a dumbass hypocritical move. It doesn't matter if you don't cuss if some of your content is on the violent or misogynistic tip.

at least his mama is happy.

does chamillionaire strike you as a mommys boy sofi

anyone know when to expect Venom

yes, he's a mama's boy but that's not my problem with him.

My problem with him is his inability to make words fun and his content fun, with the use of words. Eminem and Jay-Z phrase bland content in creative ways. They manipulate words. Chamilionaire is just uncreative in that area. The way he talks about things makes it uninteresting.

i disagree sofi, chamillionaire's lyrics are creative, not fun

depends what you deem to be more entertaining; creativity or fun, with regards to lyrics

Yeah only on some songs he does sample on the abum versions nd the song is called industry groupie nd it sapmles the "the final countdown" theme, but his mixtapes are more sampled beats from various artist with slighty adjusted beat to them and also there are original beats of his on there also, and they do feel like actul albums to a certin extent. check out his hero version of nas song, nd his big dreams version by crooked i, tight songz.

Yeah pimp mode song was pretty tight as well played that song countless times, songs also that stood out for me through first play was, the ultimate victory, ultimate vaction, wont let you down, and evening news, morning news and so on nd the rest really grew on me to me finally enjoyn about all of his songs apart from maybe two or 3 skips

Venom was supposed to drop like late first quarter this year but he delayed it a bit, he said hell release it after his next mixtape mesiah 7 he will say on there when it should come, hopefully b4 this year ends.

Umm sofi if u think his inability to make words fun and he just is uncreative and makes things uninteresting, i suggest you watch his the evening news music clip from ultimate victory, if thatz not creative and intersting i dnt knw what is, and to me he is realy interesting and is differnt then other rapperz nd i think his creativty is up there with the best. IMO

You misunderstood what I said.

Although I don't think Evening News was well executed, I'm not putting it into this discussion.

When I say he makes his content uninteresting, I don't mean the content per se, but how he says what he says, his lyricism. Look at the Evening News lyrics and contrast them with this Jigga verse when he's talking about the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina.

People was poor before the hurricane came
When the downpour poured it was like when Mary J. sang
Everyday it rained, so everyday the pain
But ignored 'em, and showed 'em the risk was to blame
But life is chain, cause and effected
Niggaz off the chain, because they affected
It's a dirty game, it's whatever is effective
From weed to sellin' 'caine, gotta put that in effect
Wouldn't you loot? If you didn't have the loot
Baby needed food and you was stuck on the roof
And helicopters swoop down just to get a scoop
Through his telescopic lens, but he didn't scoop you
For the next five days, no help ensued
They called you a refugee because you seek refuge
And the Commander-in-Chief, just flew by
Didn't stop, 'though he had a couple seats
Just proved Jet blue, he's not, jet flew by the spot
But if he ran outta jet fuel and just dropped
Huh, that'd've been somethin' to watch
Helicopters doin' fly-bys to take a couple shots
Couple portraits, then ignored him
He'd be just another Bush surrounded by a couple orchards
Poor kids, just 'cause they was poor kids
Left them on they porches, same old story in New Orleans -
Silly rappers, 'cause we got a couple Porsches
MTV stopped by to film our fortresses
We forget the unfortunate
Sure, I ponied up a mil' but I didn't give my time
So in reality I didn't give a dime
or a damn, I just put my monies in the hands
of the same people that left my people stranded
Nothin' but a bandit, left my folks abandoned
Damn, money we gave just a band aid
See how words can be used to make the topic interesting and listenable?

sad news:

Chamillionaire: “Venom Isn’t Gonna Drop” | 2dopeboyz

Listen to the audio stream where he talks about not dropping the new album.

I just read the blog he posted and it just screams label drama to me.

i got the impression that, listening to the audio, that eminem brainwashed chamillionaire to perceptions about the record industry, i mean eminem must be the worst person to speak to for advice about delaying/dropping an album. plus taking things from eminems POV, any artist that is in his game that he could drop negative thoughts to about the music industry and convince their perspective of it, only benefits him, that's just an opinion.

LOL @ cham saying: "if, whatever, your house is on fire, one of the things you gon' grab is the MM7 cd because there's $100 bill inside"

i'm dissapointed to hear the things cham said about not dropping Venom, i don't think that its a publicity stunt either. maybe its just his way of letting off and venting negative thoughts/tensions, as every artist has a need to express what they feel and think

I only listened to the first half of the interview, but I don't think Eminem brainwashed him. I think Cham was frustrated with how Venom was being hyped and how it was being portrayed in the media. He was just trying to put this album out in a particular way but the hype was all about it being some club-friendly bobby valention jae holiday shit. I mean, that Patron song just doesn't sound like something Cham really wanted to make, it seemed forced on him by the label.

I really like what he said about Eminem's songs creating thoughts. There's probably a better way of putting that but I know exactly what he meant.

everybody knows paul rosenberg is eminems manager. maybe cham has management issues, if that is, if he even has a manager outside of his record label

sure its good, artists having new and different concepts to work with, thats all it is. being creative involves working with art forms and expanding their boundaries in ways of style. any artist that can work with a style and introduce new concepts obviously has creativity, but you don't hear people going round calling other people 'wanksta', its unheard of

i guess there is trying to be creative as an artist, and trying to be original. most often than not, it is hard to find an artist than can find a perfect balance between both

WOW, holy shit man, i was left speechless when he said that hes doing no more mixtapes, im really disapointed as i loved those mixtapes and even though ppl would say that his mixtapes were going downhill, to me fuck it was still good and i was waiting for venom foreva and now it aint dropin daym!..

But yeh this does sound like label troulbe to me to sofi, but i understand why he doesnt want to do it anymore, u cant make a person do something that they dnt want to do even if he is a music artist.

I hope he sorts his stuff out and since hes going to shelf venom, i hope he starts on another album. Maybe this will cause him to split with his label
