JUST LIKE TO HEAR YOUR Oppion of some of the underappreciated rappers along with a album

my vote would have to go to

Freeway - Free at Last

dope ass album in my view... it came out while i was gone so i couldnt wait to hear it

currently for me it's Steele, Timbo King and Grand Puba (though the last one is not as much underrated).

Good call with Z-Ro. I'd never even heard of him til I came across "Top Knotch Hoes" on a friends MySpace. Now I listen to him a lot.

I still think Lupe is underrated.

yea lupe got that mainstream appeal but not main enough lol he doesnt have the ego i guess cause hes par for par with kanye if not better but he doesnt stand out.

hes like a chicago chamiliionaire

He is very versatile. I like listening to Hip Hop Has Saved My Life and then Little Weapon. Him and Mos Def on the same track is genius.

mississippi: the album - david banner

i was hipping somebody to crooked lettaz and i realized i actually prefer this DB. like a pimp is probably the hardest thing i'll ever hear in the white club. the rest is like the angriest album of the decade. "momma ain't got no cash / daddy ain't got no dough / so daddy went to my momma / and started pimpin that ho." pastor troy's verse is a personal classic.

yess he's amazing sometimes. I'm listening to "In Jamaica" right now.

Yeah, "In Jamaica" is a banging track. Me and him lived in the same hood for a couple years before he got famous (Although, he's still relatively underground...he has a major record deal.) Real down to Earth guy, real vibing and relaxed...which is far from what most the people in my neighbourhood were lol

DOOMSTOWN STAND UP!

"Somalia, I Cried Today, I Saw You Fallen Face Down n Dragged Away, n When I Told The World, None Would Bat an Eye, They Said Since You Know How To Kill, You Should Learn To Die"- K'Naan (deepest hook in the history of hip hop)
Why tho?

The reason I don't do anything proactive to help the ppl like that is I'm a lazy selfish asshole. It's got nothing to do with me thinking they deserve it because it's what they're made of or some crap. It's all me and my selfishness, not wanting to have to give up any of the good in my life so others can have some too. To be deep, the hook has to actually be real/have meaning. :p

Although, if you like that kinda stuff, check out Remedy - Never Again. But that's totally thread hijack.

whats deep, real and full of meaning to you, might mean absolutely nothing to me, and vice versa & thats ok, thats just life. But to me, that hook is deep as hell. Anyways sorry for the offtopic nonsense

Peace

edit: I could disect the shit outta that hook and explain why exactly that shit is deep, but thats a whole different topic
