I just got back from seeing it.

It's not better than part 1 or 2, but it whoops part 3.

The action is great, acting good job. Maybe a couple of cheese parts imo, and a few surprises.

I want to say something about the ending, but I'll wait till this thread builds up.

So, if you're asking me should you see it. Definitely, even just for the action.

The story has a lot to do with the past VS. present.

It's better than T3 for sure, but not better than T1 or T2.

The actor who plays the Terminator is great, he was the star of the show, not Bale.... also the kid playing Kyle Reese is great also. He has a lot of the mannerisms for the T1 Kyle Reese I thought.

Overall, if you wanted me to rate it, I'd say a 7.5/10 ... It's not earth shattering, but it's very entertaining.

Gonna catch it when it comes out here next week. To be honest it would to be very special to even come close to T1 or T2, both stone cold classics imo.

This movie is garbage. The clown that directed T3 & McG, whatever the fuck his name is have just pissed on a great franchise. It's all effects, no substance, no character building, garbage plot, no nothing. Makes me want to puke in sink.

All flash and nothing more. Cameron must be shaking his head like he's watching a WW2 movie :D

Nah, it wasn't that bad Pauly. It shits on T3, that's for sure. Nothings gonna surpass 1 or 2, so, I enjoyed it for what it is lol.

... You saw Drag me to Hell? Any good?

This quote made me laugh, from one of the reviews I read for Terminator Salvation a few days ago.

Who ever thought in 2003 that we'd look back on Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines as the good old days?
Both of them are shite. Terminator is a giant title, I don't need to tell you that.. These clowns fucked up the franchise.

Exactly, so you can understand why fans are pissed when some shitty director comes along to cash in on the franchise.

I'm seeing Drag me to Hell on Friday. Sam Raimi + Horror = Greatness

It's sititng on 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

Bah, take what you get. You're all expecting something bigger than T2... Those days have passed. Hollywood makes garbage now. Take the movie for what it is, guerrilla warfare against machines and non-stop mindless action.

No one will do better than Cameron, and he's over with that franchise.

I just couldn't stand how dumb and pointless the movie was at times. Like when John goes into skynet where terminators are being built....TERMINATORS ARE BEING BUILT, IT'S A FUCKIN TERMINATOR FACTORY.....yet they only send one.......ONE FUCKIN TERMINATOR after him???!!! Are you fuckin kidding me? And dont get me started on the cg arnold.

it is better than 3 but the story had a lot of holes in it. i think they couldve done a better job with arnolds cgi and it wouldve been smarter to show him more than 2min. it was entertaining when there was action. marcus wright is bad ass. what i dont understand is why are there so many different terminator models poppin outta no where.

and how the fuck did skynet know about reese?

It's a Sci-Fi movie, it's not meant to be totally realistic. Time travel is an outrageous concept, yet when we watch the Terminator series we accept it's validity. For the sake of the series we have to let rational thinking slide a little.

The franchise isn't over yet, maybe things will be explained in T5 or T6 I don't know.

Yes it looked fake as hell but it was computer generated, it wasn't ever going to look exactly like Arnold.
As we know John Connor sends back a terminator to protect his child-self, this termniator is of course Arnie. So maybe in T5 we actually see John send the terminator back which could mean an actual appearance from Arnold or maybe another cheesy CGI scene.

For me it's T2>T1>>>>TS>>>>>>>>T3

There's a few things flying around about T5 already, according to McG in T5, John Connor sends himself back in time. Robert Patrick (the liquid terminator from T2), is also understood to be appearing in T5.
