I think it's a classic.

Production (not just the beats) and his lyrics were not horrible.

It's been so and so years and I can still enjoy it like I was just hearing it. That = classic to me.

^^wrong. how is it a classic? so you think that GRODT is up there on a par with a masterpiece like Illmatic? There is at least 3 or 4 filler tracks on this album imo. And its the production that makes it a good album imo.

^^so? it has 9 excellent tracks on it. Its quality that counts not quantity.

What about other classic albums like Ready To Die, Reasonable Doubt, Me Against The World or Doggystyle. GRODT doesnt come close imo

I think it's a classic.

The production style changed the industry. Dre (and the other producers that contributed) came with serious fire, EVERYONE was talking about this album and bumping it at the time, and I remember being in a car full of people with the album bumping and everyone knew every word to every song. Think about how many big songs there were on this album (and this is off the top of my head, because someone stole mine :( )

I remember when the instrumental mixtape leaked too, all the rappers I knew were hyped and dropping bars on like EVERY beat.

In Da Club
P.I.M.P
Heat
What Up Gangsta
Blood Hound
21 Questions (you know that fat kid line was the LOLz for ages)
Many Men (Wish Death)
If I Can't (there was that sick remix with Jigga too from his Reebok mixtape)
Back Down
Patiently Waiting (although Eminem murked the track)

Listen, I'm not a massive fan of Fifty, at least not anymore. If all he had done was "Power Of The Dollar" and "Get Rich Or Die Tryin" then he could do no wrong in my eyes. Shame he had to fall off so fuckin hard.

Bobby, what I meant was, if you take the best of GRODT (9 tracks) I think it is possible to compare it to other classics, maybe not lyrically, but you cannot tell me that those tracks that Casey listed are skippable.

To have THAT many tracks and HARDLY any skippable, that is a classic.
