I stumbled across a collection of albums I had downloaded to look for samples back in the day. There was a lot of generic music, but there was this one album by a finnish rock group that was sorta interesting. I don't remember why, only that it cought my ear with somewhat unusual and nice sounding arrangements. It made me think of you immediately. I'm gonna hook you up with that album some time Chron. I don't think there's a lot of singing on it, mostly musical, so the fact that it's finnish shouldn't be a problem.

What's the band's name? The language definitely won't be a problem, a lot of Scandinavian metal bands sing in their native tongue, some even in Old Icelandic and stuff like that and they mix in folk/traditional music, which is pretty interesting. I can't download anything until this month is over so if you can find some of their stuff on youtube that would be great.

Hahaha Eek-A-Mouse, props! Haven't heard that much by him but the guy is hilarious. There's no reason for being surprised someone listens to him but still it was funny to me to suddenly see his name.

Yay not a failure. It's especially nice when people post songs they enjoy but normally wouldn't suggest to other people. Lots of variety and goodies.

Shadow since you're Mexican, do you know any Mexican traditional/folk music? I haven't heard the actual stuff, except for some bits and pieces, but I love Robert Rodriguez' band Chingon's version of "Malagueña Salerosa"

Yep Shadows. Most people figure out that Prince was behind 'A Love Bizarre' since you can hear his vocals on the track. He produced and wrote nearly all of Sheila's material including her biggest hit "The Glamorous Life".

Most people don't know that Prince did 'Manic Monday' for The Bangles as well, not to mention 'Nothing Compares 2 U' which Sinead O Connor had a big hit with. He was producing and writing for all kinds of other artists in the 80's.

Chronic, you should totally cop Jaco's first (self titled) album, that's the one with that song in. SWV totally ripped off the melody on their song 'Rain', and so did Chingy on 'Pullin Me Back'. Pretty rare that hip-hop artists sample an artist like Jaco. I consider him to have been the greatest bass player of all time.
