To anyone that cares, there's a second movie planned towards the end of 2009. I really liked the first one (although I saw the workprint which was apparently better than the theatrical version) so I'm looking forward to this.

From what I've seen the only confirmed re-appearance is of Tyler Mane (who played Myers). Probably Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie) and Malcolm McDowell (Dr. Loomis) as well.

Actually I really, really don't. Maybe that's why I liked Halloween, since I wasn't looking for a good "horror" film.

If you decide to watch it let me know your opinion in comparison to the workprint. I happened to see part of the movie on TV yesterday and the scene where the 3 girls were walking down the street with Michael watching them was cut slightly short. In the workprint you could see him just walking around in the background which I thought was a very nice touch.

I never got to see the first one by Rob Zombie. I've seen every Halloween movie, since I'm a horror movie guru. I should maybe check it out, heard it was alright.

The workprint version imo was better because they explained more as to why Myers went fuckin psycho. But honestly both versions have their ups and downs. I've always wanted to take the best parts of both the workprint and the theatrical version and make my own version of the film but i've never gotten around to it.

I haven't seen the workprint but hearing you all say it's better I might give it a try.

I watched this in the theaters and it wasn't bad. I usually get bored with these type of gore horror movies but i was high and this movie was good. From what i remember.
