Firstly, lets not get this confused - Duke & I are completely straight. We just appreciate our manly love for each other and our manly love anthem is none other than "Bitches Ain't Shit"
I ain't tryin' to say I suck every ding-a-lang
But just the juicy ones
With the tip of the tongue
And then their sprung
With the nuts hung
Bitches ain't shit
Great song. We rap this as we set our sail.
Our ship the LOLWORTH, a 46m White Brothers Big Class Gaff Cutter pushing 9 knots on a good day. Ain't she a beaut'?
This is the helm. We take turns manning it, while the other rubs the shoulder of the acting captain. We have decided that my call sign will be Jean Luc, and Duke's will be Number One. Aww, my trusty Number One. We spend our nights together, eating Skittles and talking about boys. lol
We start our journey at Panama Canal. The canal is an engineering marvel and it is breath taking to see it in action. Nearly 30,000 sweaty workmen died during the construction. We were enveloped by sadness but that sadness quickly turned outraged when we found that the toll to cross the canal was a whopping US$500. Good Lord!
That tiny dot in the middle is the LOLWORTH, off the coast of Colon, Panama, waiting to cross the canal.
Lot of big manly ships, we saw.
The water was turquoise emerald watermelon green beautiful.
Our first destination is Easter Island, aka Rapa Nui - the southernmost point of the Polynesian triangle. The Chilean island is famous for its Moai monuments. Duke and I have seen the statues at The British Museum in London and the National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. but we had wished to see them in its native land.
We will be making a brief stop in our 3000 nautical mile journey at the coast of Galapagos island. We plan to anchor near Bartolome for our favorite feast - BBQ Pork Ribs, cheap white wine, and chocolate cake.
I will be blogging the events of this exciting and wonderful journey into the South Pacific, the belly of mother nature, so stay tuned and wish us luck.
Jean Luc out.
