to produce Eminem's this time.

I'm getting used to all the pushing back. Will this album ever be released?

I have to say to I'm glad it's for Eminem's album. I can't wait.

How does dre think, constantly changing the release dates or possible dates, that he is going to get any kind of buzz for this album.... I'll tell ya this, his first single better be damn good, if this album ever sees the light of day..... the next thing we will hear is that he has scrapped the whole album, and starting fresh.....

but i also hope this helps Em in his progress with his album

Whaaat? 2001 and The Chronic were THE FUCKING SHIT when they came out. And you know dre's album is gonna feature em on probably 1/4 to 1/2 of the tracks.

I am not surprised about this.

First eminem and 50 have to be released and well after that will Dre release his.

Probably summer of 2009. Mark my words!

I used to be excited about it, but its kinda like a girl promising you a blowjob. And then she's like, well I'll do it later. So it kills your erection, but ur like oh okay its coming later. But then she does that for oh... Three years. I would just be like 'fuck the blowjob' and bail. Kinda like with Detox.

And thats a pretty extreme assumption that Em will be on 1/4 - 1/2 the songs on Detox, seeing as he was only on two songs for 2001, and Em was 'in his prime' when 2001 came out.

They say the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. Perhaps the greatest trick dre ever pulled was convincing the world detox was never coming out.

Maybe, it is a marketing strategy. Artists give speculation on when their next album may be released, they then have future options to either announce/confirm their previous statement, or to reject and denounce it. The more they (the artist) does this, gives them more publicity over a longer period of time, and in turn it builds up anticipation for the anticipated work.

It is a market strategy aimed at increasing awareness, ultimately founded on the flaws through losses of piracy and copy.

But when you delay it for years and years, I don't think it's a strategy anymore, it's called deceiving fans over and over again.
