Pretty good movie, but i never read the books to justify if they "did it correctly."

Not much action for those who expect it. (though i got action AFTER the movie because it was a love story). :nuts:

I guess its like the next LOTR for movies, since its based on books, its mythical, and the production company has been given the green light to do the next movie.

I didn't start a thread about this because I never thought anybody else from the board would have watched it.

I finished the first book just in time for the movie. Maybe the fact that it was fresh in my mind made it worse, but the movie was complete shit. Edward looked constipated for the first half of the movie, a lot of key scenes were either missing or modified heavily. The girl who played Bella was shit.

It's just so much is not explained in the book that I wonder how they will make the sequel which is the book New Moon. It was announced and they should start production soon. I think for the person who didn't know the story at all it must have been hard to follow, I know some of my friends were completely lost for the first hour.

But I'm in love with books. I've read 3 out of the 4 already since thursday (read Twilight thursday, New Moon saturday and Eclipse yesterday).

He was supposed to look angry, not constipated. I guess this is all a question of point of view.

I also like how vampires are different in this movie/book saga. It makes it much more interesting.

Well I'd have to say it's more of a girl book. At least that's my very own opinion and I know a lot of people would agree with me. I do recommend it though, the author made the most cliche story ever be readable and for that props to her

^Very true. Harry Potter books is better written and is not based on a romantic relationships which is why she was able to make 7 books out of it while Twilight the author could only make 4. How much can do you when your stories are based on 1 relationship.

I haven't read the books but I plan on it now. The movie was okay. I like my vampires more evil than they were portrayed in this movie. I also think it should've been rated R so he could've hit that. I was disappointed that nakedness in bed didn't lead to sex scenes. Also, his body glittering in the sun was LAME.

The vampires aren't meant to be evil in this book. Well some of them are, but most of them aren't. And you can wait a long time before you'll see sex in this series...

Yeah I've started the book now. His glittering made more sense in the book than in the movie. In the movie it was so lame. It was like some kind of terrible overlay or something.

I know, it's a shame that i'm such a perv and can't enjoy an intimate exchange between a couple without a sex scene. No matter, i'll still wait around for the R rated edition.

He eventually hits it, four books away. Although it's not in the movie and the book makes it seem all innocent except the girl is all bruised afterwards and gets pregnant immediately with a demon child or something.

But yeah, body glitter, eats animals, doesn't attack anything and isn't hitting it. You got it, lol.

It's okay for the teens though, well for what it was it's okay. Just not good as a vampire movie.

this movie sucked. my friend suggested it, i went, and he was like "oh shit, im sorry bra, for subjecting you to this shieeeeet".

anyway, the main girl - bella - is gorgeous. my friend didnt think so, but hes a homo anyway for making me see this movie.

the acting was pretty bad.. the effects seemed cheap and outdated, and yeh.

it wasnt a real stinker though. i could see what theyre trying to do here, and it works really well for the demographic theyre targetting.

tho i dont understand why there are groups on facebook wishing "edward cullen" was 'real'.

The 1st book was okay. But it all went downhill afterward. 2nd book was pointless, 3rd book was alright, 4th book was "fuck I wanna make more money out of this series, I'll just shit a book where the story makes no fucking sense with boring sex scenes"
