LMAO no shit SOFI. People hating on the stupid voice thing is getting more annoying than ever. It sounds fine when used right. I think Kanye will be able to use it right throughout this next album so I'll probably be happy with it. This song is good though. Not as abstract as Love Lockdown still keeps the same emotion though. I dig as well.

Horrible, He needs to stop this horrible singing shit. His ego is so big he thinks he can actually sing with his faggot synthesizer. I'm not sure ehat direction he is taking but I don't like any of it.

The other song Love Lockdown isnt bad though.

are all the songs gonna be like this on his next album?

He is hardly being original though like some people think.

Here's my take on the matter, although I haven't read any of his interviews regarding his change in music or whatever.

It's not about being original, it's about diversification. From a personal standpoint, I think Kanye has been experiencing some relationship problems. This is best exemplified by his line in Love Lockdown when he says "I bet no one knew, I got no one new". I think he's realized that rapping about them is just not enough to express the angst - expressing love problems in rap really isn't enough. If you look back, most RAP LOVE songs fail to bring forth strong emotion if there's no singing involved.

From a musical standpoint, I think Kanye doesn't want to go down as just a rapper/producer. He wants to go down as a musician. So, he's branching off - and that's where Love Lockdown and Heartless come into play. The vocoder box or whatever isn't original, but he's using it in his own way.

Anyway, when it comes to love songs, I can't stand the fake R&B shit like Chris Brown and whoever else. But, Heartless and Love Lockdown, I can dig. It's not corny, it's not for the ladies, it's just real.

I wouldn't call Heartless or Love Lockdown a love song... more like the anti-love song. they are both talkin about splittin wit his girl. i agree with everything else you said. chris brown is gay as hell.

i like heartless. like love lockdown, took time to appreciate at its full potential.

i like how kanye does things differently, yes sometimes he gets bashed for it, but i'd take some kanye on some 50 cent anyday or on any "gangsta" rapper.
