Ye i didnt think alot of people on this board would dig it, I kind of knew the reaction would be "this is shit, boo-hoo" etc etc. Boring is a new one though, gonna have to look out for that one abit more from now on. And to say that Love Lockdown sounds better than this just makes me appreciate people different tastes of music even further. But whats funniest is how people complain "fiddy needs to bring the heat like he did on GRODT and the Massacre", and when he does people shit on it like "This is the same old shit i heard before". I dont mind clowning on wack/fake rappers, but when you hate for the wrong reason then its always personal reasons. Anyway, the tracks a banger, it aint supposed to change the world and im looking forward to the big drop.

nothing special. when i first heard love lockdown i thought only part of, or the end of the song was like that. but no, the whole song is slow paced, quiet and like that.

I think it's a better lead single than the lead single off his last two albums, and possibly better than ANY song off his last album. It's worse than the worst song off GRODT and if it were on The Massacre, it would be 1 of the 3 worst.

By the way, I'm an avid Kanye fan. CD was probably my favorite rap debut album ever, besides Illmatic. I'm not sure exactly what he's trying to do with "Love Lockdown" though. I mean it's not bad by any means, but it's not really rap either.

Thats the difference 'bout the 2. One's a "bump this shit in your trunk" record and the others the exact opposite. And when i bump hip-hop/rap i wanna turn it up high with the ranges pumpin'. You make a good point about Kanye's track not being rap. Cuz rap/hip-hop to me is all about the heat, the grindin' and the hustlin'. The attitude gotta be right and to me he dont bring nuthin' like that. He's a soul-rapper. Reminds me of a male version of Lauren Hill. He do his thing and shits impressive for real. But he aint bringin' no heat. And thats the first most important thing for me when i listen to rap.
