^^ That's not what somebody's momma said.

Y'all watching summer league? The best PG since paul/deron destroyed Roddy Beaubois tonight. I really dug what I saw from Dominique Jones and Jeremy Lin, though.

Roaches, you are excellent because you watch summer league. I thought I was the only one.

I've only watched the Knicks summer league games. I've come away with a couple of things that no one but Knick fans will care about but that I will say anyway:

1) Toney Douglas is a ballplayer. He's looked too good to be playing summer league.

2) Bill Walker is no longer fat, which bodes well.

3) Landry Fields--the selection of whom baffled me at the draft--has some ability and may turn out to be an interesting pick.

4) Andy Rautins will never be a good NBA player.

5) Jerome Jordan has a roster spot. No question.

So there you have it. My Knick insights that no one cares about.

^^ I watch the summer league too, but with a little hesitation, only cuz i know what im seeing will being a complte 180 once season starts...

good example, the raptors are absolutely tearing it up, dropping 100 every game, setting summer league records. Sonny weems and demar derozan looking like really good pros...

once the season starts, none of that will be relevant when were in the cellar of the atlantic ....AGAIN :-(

i usually catch the highlights for summer league. the games are too sloppy imo.

It's All Those Jazz! Bulls have their starting two guard as NBA sources say they agree to $12.5 million three-year deal with Ronnie Brewer
thats 3 former jazz players that signed with the bulls lol.

Boston Celtics re-sign guard Nate Robinson to a two-year, $9 million deal plus bonuses, a league source tells Yahoo! Sports.
i think theyre gonna trade him during the season.

Wade defends LeBron: In an interview with the Associated Press, Dwyane Wade defended new teammate LeBron James against Cavs owner Dan Gilbert's statements that James quit in the playoff series against the Celtics.

"He's not a quitter," Wade said. "He didn't quit."

"I don't see where you can get where he quit. He just had one bad game. It happens. Kobe [Bryant] had a bad game in the finals. They won. It didn't matter. LeBron's teammates didn't help him out that game and it made the way he played even worse. But he's not a quitter. He didn't quit."

Though Gilbert and many fans seemed to be more perplexed by James' attitude and focus in several of the losses than execution, Wade said it was all the Celtics' defense.

"LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, guys like that understand what Boston's defense was about," Wade said. "Their defense was built on not letting one player beat them. You either settle for the outside shot or you pass to your teammates. LeBron had one bad game in the playoffs. Other than that, he did what he could do with the defense all watching him."
smh... didnt he have like 8 turnovers in the 4th quarter alone?

durants gonna have a mvp season

For everything the Bulls tried to sell – from owner Jerry Reinsdorf to GM Gar Forman to coach Tom Thibodeau – there had been one thing that troubled James’ about the Bulls pitch: Derrick Rose(notes) never called and tried to recruit him.

Chicago officials never directly requested Rose to reach out with a call, and the young point guard felt James could’ve always reached out to him had he wanted to discuss the possibility of playing together. James needed to be courted, needed to be wooed and apparently it surprised him there was a star who wasn’t falling over himself to do that.
lol wow. heres the full article Inside look at LeBron's free-agent coup - NBA - Yahoo! Sports. good read.

While Brewer and Korver help fill the void after the trade of Kirk Hinrich -- Brewer is an athletic player known for his defense, while Korver is one of the top three-point shooters in the league -- the Bulls might not be done acquiring shooting-guard candidates. They still have room under the salary cap, and NBA sources said the Bulls have had discussions with representatives for Josh Howard, Shannon Brown, Rasual Butler and even Tracy McGrady.

McGrady is the biggest name of the group, but Howard might be the most intriguing. He's a starting-quality swingman and would have drawn much interest this summer if not for a knee injury he suffered in February while playing for the Washington Wizards against the Bulls. Howard probably won't be ready to start the season this fall, but he might be worth a gamble if the price is right. The Bulls can afford to wait for him to get healthy.
bulls are making moves.

^miller should be a solid back up and he already knows the system since he played for adelman with the kings.

ive never seen that show. is it any good?

Miami Heat president Pat Riley, a former Lakers coach known for his powers of persuasion, mentioned past and present Lakers superstars during his sales pitch to LeBron.

"LeBron would be Magic (Johnson), Dwyane would be Kobe (Bryant) and Chris would be (Kevin) Garnett," Riley said in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, repeating what he told King James during Miami's three-hour presentation in downtown Cleveland on July 2.

"He actually liked that conversation. He lit up and he said that would be great if 'I didn't have to score' (a lot), that he could be maybe the first guy since Oscar Robertson to be a (consistent) triple-double guy."

SI also reported that Riley's strategy involved tossing a bag of his seven championship rings on a table — one as a Lakers player (1972), one as a Lakers assistant (1980), four as Lakers coach (1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988), one as Miami coach (2006) — so LeBron could check them out.

"Hey, try one on," Riley said, perhaps tempting, perhaps teasing LeBron.

Riley later conceded he used the rings as a "weapon."

wow u never seen that show, yeah its actually entertaining. he had a game of touch football with Ben Rothelisberger. him and ben were the qb's for their teams. they played on a field near Pittsburgh. the bet was whoever won,, they got to wear the opponents championship ring. Ben won the football game and he wound wearing Shaq's Miami title ring. *he didnt wanna wear La's for some strange reason.*

other episodes were Shaq playing tennis against Serena, boxed with Oscar Del Hoya, played volleyball against UCLA's womens team.

I got a soft spot for FSU hoops guys for some reason. I think it goes back to Charlie Ward.

4) Andy Rautins will never be a good NBA player.
EMPHATIC COSIGN. Fuck Syracuse. That scrub cost them games by playing keep-away from Wes Johnson, hahaha.

You're aiite with me, Ristol.

I think he has a good shot at Team USA this summer... I don't know if that'd be a wise decision, but I want him to get all the action he can get. It he's even RESPECTABLE on defense this season, the kid'll be a star.

Free agent forward Richard Jefferson is en route to San Antonio this afternoon, where he is set to sign a long-term contract with the Spurs on Wednesday.
Details of the new deal are not yet available, but his salary next season will be well below the $15.2 million he would have been guaranteed had he not opted out of the final season of his contract with the Spurs on June 30.
fuck... i hope they trade him.

lmao wow cle.
