^yea artest is that bad ass player they missed against the physical celtics first time around.

they called like 20 fouls combinated in the first quarter, goddamn. pierce flopped on the last called on kobe. gasol doing his thing and looking all aggresive. celts fell asleep last 30secs.

Oh yeah...when they were telling that story about the Celts each putting $100 in the ceiling wherever in LA and only way they can get it back is if they meet em in the Finals...Van Gundy cracking that joke about Scalabrini was fucking hilarious

^^It sure was. I was thinking that was one heck of a motivational tactic to use. You gotta wonder though, what if someone did find that cash?

These teams are so evenly matched. Good to see that so far L.A are playing their part defensively.

How did the hell did David Spade manage to scalp floor seats??? Does he have a movie out or coming soon?

lmao yeah hes in a movie with chris rock adam sandler etc... seriously though, how'd he manage to scalp floor seats is fucking funny.

Kobe just had hell of a block on Tony Allen, on the replay it looked like he let it go to try to lay it up, throw that shit down chump, well try to at least. Lakers are playing good good defense, some mistakes here and there but all a round a great defensive game

^yea that was a nice a block. at first i thought he blocked a dunk. lead to a nice oop.

damn refs calling everything. ray allen just picked his 5th.

lakers playing solid defense but they were having problem when ray allen was coming off the pick n roll.

Yeah that's cus he runs like 80 ft every play lol.

Ray Allen's 5th was weird, real time it looked like a foul... slow mo it looked like it wasn't, up top at least, probably some body

Can't remember the last time I saw Bryant on a fast break. It's been a while since he had an alley-oop as well. He didn't even grab the ball well :D but, he threw it down!!

Lakers lead by 20.......who would have thought?

Yeah KG had a horrible game, I'll admit he was hitting some nice jumpers though. He looked nervous towards the end. Those lay ups he missed, I mean he bobbled the ball but wtf

Lakers played good, they could play better though, scary. Same can be said about the Celtics but they got controlled, Lakers are the better team. Pretty much they play as good as the Lakers allow them to play. That's saying a lot but that's what it seems from this game.

Kobe is so fucking intense. I remember some interview he was saying his wife and kids hate him during the playoffs/finals..."cus daddy is grumpy." His intensity is one of the reasons he is my favorite athlete though, he's prepared mentally and physically, more than anyone. Take notes bronbron

I loved the body language of the Celtics bench when they were down 20 :D

That was a great way to start the series. Funny how the Staples Center crowd got tense when Boston went on that run. Everyone was probably thinking, "Not another comeback from 20 points." I was thinking the same thing anyway, 08 finals still haunt me to this day. Lakers did what they had to do, they now need to win game 2. That's the important thing, no point of looking at anything beyond that. Bynum was looking good as well, funny how he was taken out and it wasn't even noticeable that he was on the bench. Lakers didn't close out the game too well though, plenty of bad shot selections and on any other day they would have been punished for that by the Celtics.

What happened between Phil Jackson and Chris Rock? Chris was looking perplexed after that interview. Not to mention Kobe not saying anything to him after he spoke for what seemed to be a while. Kobe is in the zone as like every finals. I remember when he was asked about his kids calling him grumpy, his response was, "They know what time it is." Ha!

Here are those shoes again. Damn!!

As for the finer detail embossed on the shoe, this is the gist of it

I wonder what the away version will look like. By the way, I also noticed one of the Celtics 'towel guys' was wearing a pair of Kobe's shoes

I want to have them.

Amazing game, and I say that because LA won but for the most part it was a close game and with Celtics you always imagine they'll come back. :) Lakers need to stay that strong for the series, Boston will be harder for Game 2. I thought Bynum played alot better the last 2 games. I don't know what was going on between Phil and Chris Rock, something to do with taking up too much space court side? And LOL @ Kobe ignoring him haha.. Cant wait for Game 2.

Had to LOL @ this: ""Garnett hyperventilating a little bit.." it's so true haha!
