I put SP3 on all our computers at school and they don't have any problems. They run great.

It looks decent but there is an .iso file and a .exe

exe file is windows_xp_mui_pack_pl.exe

Why would there be an .exe file?

Just run the exe from dos or msi from windows.

mui pack is the multi-lingual user interface pack. it's for installing other languages to an english xp installation.

you don't want sp3 because of what prize talked about earlier. windows genuine software. your pc will lock up. run microsoft update but NEVER install sp3.

aye. the security update is incorporated in all versions of service pack 3.

Carmi. Sometimes it's less of a hassle just to buy a copy. Then you can run all the updates. I always used pirated copies for years but I finally bought a system builders Vista ultimate and it's well worth. I will never used pirated copies again. You could prolly get xp sp2 for pretty cheap.

i had a similar experience. i used pirated xp for all years. then i bought a pc with an oem version of xp. could do everything with it. when i bought my new pc i purchased vista home premium (which is enough for me, honestly) and i'm quite content.
