I gave this album a quick listen and a few songs I listened to various times. I gotta say, this album is fucking DOPE. It kind of came out of nowhere and just hit me. I didn't expect it to be real dope. Not to say I expected it to be whack though.

05. 04:17 Deep Down
06. 03:33 We Gets It In (Feat. Talib Kweli)
07. 03:04 Just What I Need
08. 04:24 All Seasons

Downloading now but I don't see why a release by Craig G and Marley Marl in 2008 is a must-have.

Judging by the album title I assume Craig G complains a lot about today's Hip-Hop?

Them being old school doesn't make their album any less of a "must have" than someone like Wayne's or TI's.

LMAO. I was expecting you to mention Wayne and misconstrue what I said. Do you really think I said what I said because I have a problem with the "old school" (ignoring the fact that Marley Marl and Craig G are from the "New School")? That I think it's out with the old and in with the new? You should know a little bit about my taste in music (otherwise I wouldn't take your comment the way I did) so for you to throw that T.I. and Lil Wayne shit in my face is just retarded and insulting.

No, I was referring to the fact that their names don't mean much today in terms of quality. KRS-ONE is a legend but I'm not exactly looking for his albums in 2008.

For you to call people not checking for Marley Marl and Craig G in 2008 whack is what's really whack. Especially when you manage to squeeze Wayne into it.

I knew what you meant in your first post, lol. HONESTLY, what I said was mainly for other people coming in here debating whether or not to check this music out. You know why I said Wayne's name, lol. He's one of the most (if not THE most) popular rappers in the game. I could have named 10 people, but I just named 2 instead.

Their names have been around with hip hop music for at least 20 years. To pretty much anybody, that's old school. With hip hop, It doesn't get much older than that, lol.

And as far as me calling people whack, you know I did that just to bump the thread to give people a chance to check it out again, lol.

And why don't their names mean much today in terms of quality? Craig G is still nice on the mic and Marley Marl is a producer. I see what your saying, but I don't FULLY agree with it.

I am gonna give this a listen. Thanks for the links.

BTW I totally understand linx's dislike for Wayne. I feel the same way for Budden. I just can't seem to like that dude's music no matter how hard i try and I see the talent he has but i fall asleep listening to him.

That's absolutely crazy to me, but that's another discussion all together, lol.
