Film & TV Favourite Stand-Up Comedians

Provide YouTube evidence.

I recently watched a British sitcom called Black Books, which I missed when it initially aired between 2000 and 2004. It's very good, mostly because of the writer and star Dylan Moran. His stand-up is also very good:

A brief clip of him critiquing Fatboy Slim's "The Rockafeller Skank"

And here's a clip of him as his Black Books character Bernard Black

I'm also a big fan of Stewart Lee, though I'm probably in the minority there. Here's a clip

And here's a clip of him talking to Glasgow about discovering his biological father was "Scotch"

And here's a video from Kristen Schaal, who you might know from the Flight of the Conchords TV show. I love his opening joke.

Jim Gaffigan's Bacon bit
Norm MacDonald's Backseat bit

Pablo Fransisco - great observational comedian. My favorite bit would have to be Jose in the kitchen with his Mexican music - "It's a love song fucker"

edit: "ANTONIO THE TIGERRR!"

that's odd because i've posted plenty of youtube vids before and never had a problem till now. what was wrong with the way it was before? why'd they have to change it? lol
Yea the new script messed it up and i recently just figured out how to do it too. Basically instead of putting the entire link in between the youtube link thing u just put the last digits. Like take this link http://w w w.youtube. com/watch?v=lUoUDuAPCZA ........... instead of putting the entire like...now you only put the last digits after the = which is "lUoUDuAPCZA"

Chris Rock can be funny, but he's a one topic comedian for the most part. without his race jokes he doesn't have a whole lot else, which is why i'm not a big fan of his.

What about

"We need more bullet control -- each bullet should cost $5000"

"If you haven't held rat poison in your hand and looked at it for 45 minutes straight, YOU AINT BEEN IN LOVE!"

(Too lazy to look for the video) The bit about married people and how being married is boring - the funniest part is how married men get together and talk about routes to work " sometimes I take the highway but if you take the side street to I94 -- SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

and last but not least

"showed up to court lookin like Captain Crunch"

Have you never really listened to him? He's a genius. Race isn't even a primary focus in his routines--hasn't been for quite some time. Aside from being hilarious, he speaks the truth on nearly every subject he touches. He's a great observationalist.

lol well ok maybe i spoke a bit too harshly about Chris, but looking at his body of work not just in comedy but in movies as well, i think you might see where i was coming from. obviously not all of his standup is race related, but so much of it is that when you look at that and put it with a lot of the roles he's played in movies playing off race (Dogma as the 13th Apostle who wasn't in the bible cuz he was black, Down To Earth as a black guy reincarnated as an old white dude, etc.) it seems to get a bit repetitive to me. but i do like Everybody Hates Chris.
