He cant really pull off the flow as well as Wayne but its alright.

From a musical point of view, wow Kanye must compress the fuck out of his vocals to level them out considering how loud his breaths come through, which means hes a shitty rapper and inconsistent with his delivery in the studio.

Upon second listen, yeah Kanye does a good job on delievery.

But still, his vocals are SO fucking compressed and squashed. For those that dont know, when you record vocals the levels are up and down because no rapper stands still while rapping, or for example if the rapper needs to punch in somewhere the levels can be off and thus the verse needs to be compressed to make it sound level. Plus we just naturally say certain words louder. A compressor brings the lows up and the highs down and makes it all level, which is why the breaths are brought up and you can hear them more.

Everyone compresses, but Wayne is obviously the better rapper in regards to studio work and delivery because his vocals are pretty much natural and Kanye on the other hand has been compressed to all fuck to hide those level imperfections.

I mean this is pretty common sense if you consider Wayne grew up in the studio.

the track is alright, kanye sounds awkward on that beat. i don't know. he can't pull it off like lil wayne. but eh its not typical kanye beats so maybe thats why i find him on it a bit weird.
