Oh, I can't wait to sing along to this song in public. "nigga nigga nigga nigga i'm a nigga you a nigga"

on a side note, at least he picked out a solid, listenable beat. And any track that mentions eminem in a good way, is good enough for me.

lol yeah that's what I was thinking. Or, I'm bumping the song on my iPod and have the black dude next to me in class ask what I'm bumpin.

"Yo whats that song I hear"
"be a nigger too"

"nigga what?"

I get the feeling that this will be many a wiggers' anthem song.
eric, rukas and mark deez to name just a few.

This song is like a wake up call to many hip hop listeners especially whites, I'm one of them. Ok, we all like rap and listen to it and all but where do we draw a line and say this is not meant for me? I think this song is an example of that.

With this song, I think Nas is kind of isolating himself and blacks from whites because he knows no white person in their right mind would listen to this song. Well, unless you're any of those people mentioned above.

I changed my mind.

Before when i said i liked it i hadn't listened to the chorus, yet. The chorus is retarded. Guess i shouldn't have judged it before giving it a full listen.

I see it completely different then everyone so far. I think the point is to bump it. I dont think he is tryin to isolate himself from whites at all, especially when he says em is his nigga wigga cracka friend, or says to all my kike niggas. Nas is a mother fucking genius with this song, I see it now even more with the responses so far. White people sayin they cant listen to it cus it says nigga too much. That is the point, he said with the album he wants to take the power from the word and this follows suit. It's got people scared, it's making them confront it.

^That was my initial response to it, but there are lines in the song which contradict that. The parts that contradict it are implying that everybody wants to be a "nigger" nowadays, as if everybody wants to be marginalized.

When I first heard of the idea for the album, I thought he was going down the John Lennon Woman is the nigger of the world road, to therefore show how we're all niggers ie. slaves in this society.

I think considering that Nas went out on public TV and said some white people are niggers too I seriously doubt he is saying there is a line to be drawn, if anything he is promoting unity in some fucked up way.

To be honest, the song concept is fucking retarded. I dont think anybody needs to be a nigga to be involved in Hip-Hop at all, and anyone that wants to be one is just a retard. Cant we all just be human beings?

I understand what Nas is trying to do, but I just think he is doing it for the shock value, and I personally think it's retarded.

And Bach, considering your status around here and what people think of you I really dont think you have any right to pass judgment on anybody else.

Well, at least Nas is flowing back on beat, but hes out of tune on the hook and it hurts my ears.

Song is meh, and like I said, the concept is just stupid and its so obvious he is just doing it for attention.

I agree with Rukas. I wish Nas would just rap... not try to change the world. Whenever he tries to be different, or he tries to be all militant and controversial and shit (Last 3 albums including the new one) he's wack. Leave that shit for other dudes.

To Nas: Get some good beats from Just Blaze, Toomp, Kanye, No ID, Hitmen, Cool&Dre, 9th.. Let them do all the song-writing (BEATS, HOOKS), fuck Salaam Remi off, and you just concentrate on rapping, Nigga! Stop trying to change the world.
