Yeah ok, go listen to Lollipop.
Lollipop is meh too. But at least Id throw Lollipop on in the club and appreciate it there. This track, its alright, but its not like Id bump it anywhere outside of my laptop just to go "oooo some new Crooked I!"

He can do better.

Hating is bad for your blood pressure.

As usual he puts down a good performance but as a song it's alright. I'm guessing he'll be like Canibus. A very impressive MC when he's in his element but not a good songwriter and a mixtape he bangs out in a week will probably be more impressive than a full length album.

I don't want to say thats true but sadly thats the truth.

But on the other hand, we haven't seen him in full length album. We have not heard his album yet to judge whether he will be good album rapper or not.

if only Crook got dope beats like the ones he rips for his freestyles.
That would be a plus to me.

I think Crooked could be just as dope and lyrical in decent, mediocre beats because he usually brings heat when he raps. So I wouldn't worry so much about him rapping on best beats, thought I'd like to.

Crooked is too "gangster nerdy" to appeal to the larger population. By that, I mean he uses uncool metaphors and figurative language to showcase gangster bravado. It makes you think, "did you really have to say all of that like that just to say you're hard?"

Also, there's the flow issue. He focuses too much on lyrical content and not enough on flow and delivery. You can easily see that in this specific song.

I'm not saying this is the best shit ever, but Crooked I is dope. I don't see how anybody can deny that. Will be be one of the best rappers in the game when it comes to making good/great albums and being consistent? I don't think so. But dope is dope. Canibus was actually a good comparison. I've always been a Canibus fan and although he didn't make a bunch of good albums, I was still a fan cause he was dope.
