Chicken is foul!

A couple of sites

"The notion that vegetarian diets lead to a healthier and longer life has been further supported from research based on World War II experiences of people in Scandinavia, where dietary restrictions virtually wiped meat off the menu. The loss of meat led to a drop in the mortality rate, and when diets returned to normal after the war, so too did the death rate".

Benefits Of Vegetarianism: Vegetarians Live Longer

It's definately good to see both sides though, but there is quite a common theme amongst the studies that are PRO meat, see if you can pick up on it.

Peace brothers and sisters :)

tupac4li4e, are you a vegetarian too? I don't know how long you've been around but I'm the most pro-active vegetarian on this board and I like to fuck with the meat eaters by providing facts that most of them do not know about. We have had like 100-page debates over it lol.

If you are indeed a vegetarian, I like you more now :)

The thing is, you've never provided us with facts. You've sometimes presented strong evidence to support your claim, actually wait, only Jokerman has done that. However it is just that, evidence. See there is just as much evidence out there to contradict your evidence. Which is right? Probably neither, the best answer is probably some middle ground.

Hey Da Funk, well yeah you are right, I suppose jokerman is really the only dude to take seriously on this forum, hahah :)

But, with issues such as these, it will probably be much the same throughout time, I think what one has to do is lookup the studies himself and come to his own conclusions based on the "facts".

"Facts" as you say it, is really just a word, fact to someone may not be fact to someone else and "facts" can always be false and presented as truth, truths can change, and so do people, so just put together your own facts from the information you can gather and use your intuition as your guide, the more you do the stronger it becomes, my intuition has never steered me wrong in my life, so that inner knowing to me, is my fact.

So I can't exactly say I'll go to middle ground with you, because I know what my facts are, but I will say that I respect anyone with a strong enough confidence to voice thier opinion because more than likely that is thier truth, but having said that doesnt mean I have to talk to em nicely :D

you seriously mix facts with opinions.

Well it's all really our opinion in these forums, based on whatever facts we believe, isnt it ?

Like I said, "facts" can be twisted and changed, so it does really come down to what we think. When in this thread have I said this is how it is, and all you fuckers are dead wrong ? Anywhere ? I may be strong in my opinions but don't misinterprete what I say or mean.

Misinterpretation has caused many a religious war throughout the ages, it along with assumption would have to be the mother of all fuckups.

I remember this thread. Anyways.. as much as I used to love chicken. I've joined the "dark side" and only eat plant based foods now. :):)

Welcome child, there is no turning back now *evil grin*

Funk, I can't be bothered to argue with you, but I have actually provided plenty of facts. Go and dig up my old vegetarian debate threads if you want to. I provided a ton of facts.

Uhh no. Facts don't change and you can't just decide on facts for yourself.

I don't want to argue with you either. All I'm saying is your "facts" aren't facts per se. All you provided was strong evidence supporting your opinion. Until we have at least 100 years of data on something such as this there's no way to conclusively say being a vegetarian is healthier.

Funny story, I walked past a rescue animal stand today, there was an advert for vegans on the table, which was cool. But to my amusement I saw the lady who owns the stand eating a bacon sandwich. I LOL'd.
