This shit is hard... I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. "Birthday Girl" and "Rising Up" seem pretty out of place, though. Rising Down sounds like it's shaping up to be just a continuation of Game Theory but rawer. I always felt that a problem with the Roots is that ?uestlove tried to be Brian Wilson too much and forgot to capture what people want - the sound of the Roots' live show... when it goes too far you get Phrenology (to be fair it also gave us their best album, but that was them just making a straight-up rap record, not trying to be progressive). The new stuff all sounds live, though.

It sounds better than the one we had previously. I'd upload it for you, but I'm jacking the wireless from some asian neighbor and it's too slow.
