Janet Jackson: MJ not ready for Jackson 5 reunion

Janet Jackson has cast doubt on the rumoured Jackson 5 reunion, by suggesting that brother Michael Jackson isn't ready to go back to singing in a group.

Speculation mounted in November when Celebrity Big Brother star Jermaine Jackson said that "Michael will be involved" in the planned reunion.

However, Janet doesn't think her brother is ready for it yet: "I know it's been kind of tough for Mike. Maybe he just wants to continue to be a solo artist and if that's what he wants, you have to respect his wishes.

"But what an impact a reunion would have on the world. I'd be the first in line to buy a ticket."

Reports have also emerged that Michael is in talks to do a solo residency at London's O2 Arena this year.

...and now to quote myself, in the last piece of Janet news from over a month ago

this tour ain't happening, no matter what Jermaine says. Michael does not want to do it. Depending on circumstances and promoters, this may change. But it doesn't look likely. Michael doesn't like touring and especially not with his brothers, which he hasn't done since the Victory Tour in 1984.
